Awesome work! I got the Volksgrenadier box and a blister not too long ago and am hoping to start putting it together soon.

What division are you planning on basing your company on?

Confident vet (not on the FOW website though).

Choose them as they are from Stuttgart initially (where my girlfriend is from) they then formed the sturm division (great grey wolf list!) and then were reformed as a Volksgrenadier list

I ended up getting the VG box as well... planning to mix it all with the PG's from Open Fire and use the Nuts book to do a Bastogne theme. The Open Fire dudes are a better quality... with better formed faces and stuff but on the other hand I the winter uniforms are just cool, the assault rifles are cool, and the metal figs might be better in the end because you don't need to worry about the little gun tips breaking off. I figure if I just paint their uniforms white it will look cool and fit in with the VG's. I'm thinking I'll probably use the Open Fire guys as some SS PG platoon support...

Look amazing! Can I ask how you achieved the snow effect?

I paint the base grey, then once the models etc are finished I mix some Pva, white paint and water and coat the base, then cover in GW snow, sometimes it needs the above step repeated once the previous layer is dry
