Unhealthy Competition With Other Legions

After a hefty tax return I am currently in the market for another sizable Forgeworld Order. Going to supplement my Sons of Horus with a Legio Mortis Titan at the very least, but I have a couple of options, let me know what you think!

Option A:

Mars Reaver w/ Turbo Laser, Gatling Blaster and Carapace Missile Launcher, 5 Justaerin w/ Justaerin weapon pack.

Option B:

Mars Warhound w/ Turbo Laser, Vulcan Megabolter. 5 Justaerin w/ Justaerin Weapon Pack, Fellblade, and Spartan Assault Tank.

"You are like a son and together we have all but conquered the galaxy. Now the time has come for me to retire to Terra. My work as a soldier is done and now passes to you for I have great tasks to perform in my earthly sanctum. I name you Warmaster and from this day forth all of my armies and generals shall take orders from you as if the words came from mine own mouth. But words of caution I have for you for your brother Primarchs are strong of will, of thought and of action.

I picked option B, only because more superheavies would reflect the resource of a Legion better, and the Reaver, while awesome, would not really give the "We have a whole armory of superheavies, just you wait!" feeling I get from the Horus Heresy armies.

That and the Fellblade looks awesome.

Oh, and the Spartan Assault tank is awesome too.

Reaver. From a collection point of view it's the most expensive piece. So get that now, then get the smaller items later as you'll need to save less.

Reaver is also cooler, bigger and rarer.

I put option A. But get B as well

Warhounds are awesome looking, but more of a PITA to put together - so if modelling is a consideration, consider that.

The reaver is a doddle, comparatively.

Love the fellblade, love the warhound, and the spartan is boss. Option B

I would like to suggest option C: make a warlord titan, i mean cmon who does not want a model over 2 feet that can destroy anything.

but from the given options i would say B more stuff

To many unpainted models to count.

Modelling is only somewhat of a concern at this point, I am fairly decent at it, though I do think right now that I am tipping towards the Reaver based on the point that it is the single most expensive model made for the game, and the other stuff is not really outside of my wheelhouse for a normal spending, I could pretty easily get the $500 to build a warhound if I wanted to, or the $250 to buy a fellblade etc... $1000 in a single transaction is a little bit tougher.

I am thinking about just adding a Spartan to the order anyway because I need something to cart my termies around in. Also Yes, Justaerin will be coming either way, I already have 15 cataphractii that are painted as Justaerin, but I want a 5 man squad for Abaddon/Horus' honor guard. Or to supplement in with a 5 man lightning claw squad to drop off in a Spartan and roll faces w/ a Multi Melta and a bunch of power axes.

Thanks everyone for the input, it's a tough decision all around because I definitely want all the models at some point.

Well, are you good at painting miniatures? A titan of any kind, at least for me, requires a great, or at least good, paintjob. If you can do this then buy the Reaver. It is a great looking miniature.
If you can't then you could buy the Warhound and use the rest of the money to get it painted well This would be my train of thought but others will probably have different priorities

WHs are awesome looking but for table top gaming the Reaver is pretty much king - bar if someones scratch built a Warlord or above.

Are you gaming or modelling for it?

I am confident in my painting abilities, you can judge for yourself on my Sons of Horus thread, but there is no way in the world I would pay someone to paint it for me haha.

I am planning to game with it and of course just having the model is a huge draw as well, My brothers and I are starting to get into the bigger side of things with super heavies and warlords etc, we are all building pre heresy forces and there are numerous Fellblades and the like floating around, so it will definitely be used on the tabletop as well.

Warhounds look meaner I think. Especially if you can get a pack of them

Thanks to everyone once again for the feedback!

Flinty: I do think a pack of warhounds would be pretty fun, however there is just something about a 16" tall reaver that has a foot the size of a rhino standing on my table, and on the top of my display case.

I'm feeling like a goofy answer today, so I say spend the 100 dollars to get a Dreamforge Leviathan to field a Knight.

Edit: Actually, to have more fun, spend the same amount of money as a Warhound, and get an entire household of 4 Knights!
