Is there an official side of the road that one drives on in the Imperium of man 
Left or right?
This question has been eating at me for a long time.

I'm going to hazard a guess that this is one of the many customs that would depend on the individual planet.
A lot of worlds may not even have vehicles.

The left (ie the correct side) as it is a British SF universe 
If I have to get into the wrong side of cars in video games all the time and sit there not being able to drive until I remember that Americans have their cars backwards then your Marines, IG, Orks etc can all drive on the bloody left side of the road!

The answer to that is the same as every other "How is __ done on Imperial worlds?" question. It depends on the world and who is writing the fluff. For example my homebrew IG regiment comes from an Ice world where everyone just skis everywhere outside of the Hive Cities. And the hive cities are to cramped for people to use cars.

Depends on the worlds customs to be honest. Or whichever side has the least craters/landmines/molten rock on it

If you look at DoW city maps the roads are build by standard right side driven system. You can see that by turn signals on the ground. Every city map is like that, so we can assume that many of those worlds have right side as standard.
But it really depends on a planet, good number of them are in medieval age while few of them probably even have flying cars.

Yup. Probably the left
Until the next  WAAAGH! gets there, then it's every vehicle for itself, with many simply driving upwards (exploded) or just downwards (met a bigger vehicle and got squished)

In USSR was much better because everybody were driving tanks and BTR's on the street.
Cars today just ain't like Tanks and APC's on the 60'is and 70'is
And on that video that Skycrawler posted there is scene on 8:17 where the date is 31.12.2100, didn't knew that cars will still be driven in 100 years

That would be the center, at full speed, screaming and shooting guns.
Anything else would be far too tame.
But as others said the Chimera seems to have the driver on the right side which would mean vehicles go on the left side. IE the British, Japanese, Trinidadian, Guyanese side. India too? I can't remember.

Because the left side used to be where everyone drove, untill WAAAGH! Skullbasha hit the planet, and dumped tonnes of dead bodies there. Now all roads only have one lane, and it is each vehicle's duty to crash into as many other vehicles as possible, as the planet's main population is now orks.
