So I have decided to model some vanguard veterans for my blood angels army but I really want to give them power spears I was thinking of possibly using grey knight halberds. They just don't seem to look enough like spears, would really like some suggestions I would even be willing to buy power spears if someone knows where to buy them.....thanks

maybe something from the fantasy range? it wouldn't have the "tech" look of the 40k power weapon stuff, but you could probably hack a power box or some wires onto them somewhere near the head.

Anvil's chain glaives aren't too bad, and are distinctive enough to pass as power weapons.

huh. You know, I checked Puppetswar, Kromlech, Maxmini and Scibor, and there really isn't anything that's clearly a spear, if we're using the Spartan definition of a spear. Tons of halberds and glaives and swords and staves. The only one that's clearly a spear is from Forge World:
So your options are
1.) Spend $233 to get 5 of those Minotaurs special characters
2.) Pick something close enough from one of those sites, maybe these
3.) Get some Power Swords, cut them off just below the hilt, and glue them to some plastic rod. Maybe cut up some Ork Boy shootas for some gubbins to flesh them out a little.

You might want to be careful using Halberds for power spears, because the rules tell you if a Power Weapon looks like a Halberd it's a Power Axe

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

I really don't understand this. I like how different weapons have different stats in fantasy but breaking power weapons into a bunch of different types just seems messy..

The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that. |

Grey knight warding stave with the top replaced with a fantasy spear tip. I used the ones from the high elf chariot personally, not brilliant but serviceable and looks very obviously like a spear
