Hello guys!

I don't know if anyone has made a tutorial on this before but i haven't been able to find one.
So i'll just go ahead and make one.

Like the title sais, this is a tutorial on how to make a short barrel las gun for your guardsmen. It's not much nor is it hard to do but it makes a big difference in appearence when it's done.
The idea behind it was that in many armys all around the world there are soldiers who have some other tasks than to just shot stuff.. like radio operators or vehicle drivers and so on.
Those soldiers get a shorter version of the main gun the others are using. So i'm using these short versions for the vox operators and some other guys.

PLUS! it looks cool to have a variety of wepons in a squad.

Let's begin then! first you need a lasgun.. I know.. Who knew, right?

Iv'e also before i star chopping them up removed all the bayonets from them.

The second thing you do is removing the aquilla or whatever the marking is on the side of it
After that is done you make a cut right behind where the barrel come out of the weapons body. Be carefull not to separate the barrel and the "gascylinder"? that's under the barrel or you will have to puzzle them tohether later.

Now remove all the exess plastic from the barrel part so it look something like this

Get back to the main gun part and here you can make a cut at the desired length.

If you've done all the steps according to the instructions you'll end up with these 3 parts

And now it's just a matter of gluing back the barrelpeice to the gun. You may have to file a little to make it straight but it's not hard to do.

There you go! it's done.

And here's how it looks compared to a regular ladgun.

And on a guardsman

That's all guys! Hope you enjoyed this tutorial! And good luck customizing your army!

North of your position

Looks nice and not that hard!
I will certainly try it on my guard!

What i'd love to see someone do with this, is use a thin piece of wire, sticking out of the end of the gun, and paint it red, so it looks like it's actually just starting to fire off a shot

Looks great, anyhow.

Nice, way better than trying to scrape together a bunch of those short-stock carbines from the Heavy Weapon teams!

Nice tutorial. I think short barrel lasguns look great.
I've done a similar thing with my Guardsmen and turned their lasguns in SMGs.

This is pretty cool, but I think the stocks should be removed/changed if they're las-carbines.

Las-carbine, I like it. Also, I think that part the bayonet lug, equally as silly on a laser gun.
