Kind of a strange looking mech, but whatever floats your boat. €45 for the month

The Guardian is now available. The model is 7.5″ tall and weighs 0.8 kg. It can be assembled in a variety of poses thanks to its articulated knee and pelvis sockets.

To celebrate the release, the model will be on a 10€ off sale for 1 month!

This full resin kit contains enough parts to build 1 Guardian with a Pulveriser Cannon and a Power Hammer.

The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.

Base not included.
Spoiler:

Unshooped pic for some sense of scale, I guess

not bad looking, and huge for 45. Could make a good base for some other mechs.

I'm not a fan of the overall design. The price is definitely good, but I would rather invest a bit more to to get something better.

Maybe it's the proportions, or maybe it's the lack of detail, but it looks somewhat more of a colossal Warmachine warjack than a small 40k Titan.

Looks cool, and I love another Knight on the market, but why is it missing the iconic chainsword, and why does it have no neck? The head recessed into the middle of the chest doesn't give it the right proportions, IMHO.

That color scheme just makes me think of a really pissed-off R2-D2 for some reason.

As a 'unique' design they presumably feel far less threatened by possible GW legal issues

As you say the chainsword is iconic, and the head recessed into the chest significantly changes the look so if GW come knocking it's any old giant stompy robot, not a Knight Titan (TM)

Looks like a mash-up of GW stuff, with just enough not GW to keep from getting shut down. I see Tau (upper legs, left arm gun) and a good bunch of SM/generic GW.

I can see the qualities of this model. The ranged weapon is basically a Battlecannon already, and the empty space on it's left side looks like it could be a good home for a twin-linked Heavy Bolter. Leave off the bit that makes the head of the Power hammer, and make a big chainsword out of layers of plasticard to attach there.

It feels very unfinished to me - a lot of the details, like the whole left arm, simply seem like a work in progress.

The paint job is really not doing him any favors, either.

That paint job does not sell that model at all. It actually gives the impression the mold is undetailed like the old epicast/armorcast stuff which was blown up 'small' epic models.

The regular pictures of the unpainted parts have crisper edges than the painted one which make it look like the paint is caked on.

It's kind of funky and neat, but the paintjob really isn't flattering.

Huh. Just read some of the FAQ's on the site. Apparently some of the larger parts are actually polystyrene. That would explain the low price and crisp edges. I would probably pick this up if I didn't have so much else to paint already!

Gotta agree with the paint comments. They really hurt the model, would have been better pictured unpainted.

Looks very crude and toy like compared to DreamForge's stuff for a comparable price. Definitely pass on this one.

€45 and almost as big as the €115 leviathan? That's not comparable pricing at all...
And really, with a bit of creative converting this thing can shine.

you're out €110-120 for a leviathan *from a discounter* here in europe; that's over twice as much. It's also a completely different aesthetic; I have one of those leviathans (actually working on it right now) and I love it - but I can see reasons to buy this thing as well. It's much less smooth and hightech-y than the levi is - for a 40K player that can be a distinct advantage

I am not a fan of the shoulder pads, and there should be knee pads to cover up the toy looking ball and joint connection, other than that, it has potential

Not bad, I do agree with previous posters that the paint isn't selling this beast at all. I also concur that is has a really strong Battletech feel to it.

I'm not a fan honestly. It seems very low detail, aesthetically inconsistent, and the paint job isn't doing it favors.
