Dakka-Faux Vassal Campaign
Crews: 25 Soulstone, Fixed Master crews.

-What this means is that each player will pick a master they wish to play in this campaign (There are plenty of masters in the game, so we shouldn't have any crossover). You will build a 25ss crew, following all hiring restrictions for that crew. Once you have your master and crew, any left over soulstones will go into your starting soulstone pool. Models summoned or otherwise created in a game do not carry over from game to game, and your soulstone pool is refreshed every game, unless a campaign effect states otherwise.

Strategies & Schemes: Players will randomly flip for Strategies as they are detailed in the Malifaux Rules Manual or Malifaux 1.5. Schemes are not considered unique, and may be selected as normal throughout the course of the campaign.

Losing a Leader: It is possible that the Leader originally hired into a crew will leave that Crew over the course of a campaign, whether by being permanently killed or some other effect. If this happens, that player selects a Unique model in the crew to become the new Leader. If there are no Unique models, any model may be selected. the new Leader gains the Use Soulstone ability and counts as a leader for any Strategies and Schemes.

Any soulstones form the killed leader's cache remain in the Crew's Soulstone Pool without raising that Crew's Crew total. Any Master-specific totems attached to that Master are also Permanently Killed.

Crew Total: A Crew's Crew Total will change through the course of a campaign. It is important to keep track of these changes, as it may affect how much Guild Scrip a crew will get during the Payday phase. A Crew's Crew Total is the sum of the soulstone cost of all models hired into that crew, plus one for each soulstone in the Crew's Soulstone pool. (not including the Master's original cache, if any), plus the cost in Guild Scrip of any Upgrades carried by the Crew. If the Crew's original leader was permanently killed, subtract 10 from the Crew's Crew Total. A Crew's Crew Total Should be noted on the Crew Sheet. If the Crew obtained a second Master (through the Traitor Result on the Injury Chart) add 10 to it's total.

Games
Games will be played over Vassal, and I will have a thread for scheduling games. I think I'm going to do this over the course of a few months so that people are "pressured" to play games, but still have plenty of time to get their games in.

Players will be required to play at least 2 games during a month for points, they're more than welcome to play more, but they will only get credit for 2 games.

At the end of the play time (most likely 4 months, so 8 games total), points will be calculated, and the crew with the most points will be declared the Master of Malifaux.

If the alternate sculpt is an improvement with the addition of the cauldron, but if the alt sculpt was closer to her Avatar sculpt (minus the tree, but a young woman) I'd have no problem with her model.

Its an improvement for sure, just not enough of an improvement for me to spend my money on.

I seem to be infatuated with Lucius and his Elite Division at the moment which is at odds with my love of the Neverborn

See that's my problem, I'm sure I'm a horder.

However painful it's been for me i've slowly got rid of most of my WHFB stuff now so i can concentrate on a single army/faction in each game I play

I'd like to try it too.

Is it something you have to be at your computer for a while non-stop?

See, I live with a significant other, and even a quiet evening means washing the dishes and doing stuff around the house.

It sadly is something that you would have to be at your computer for a while... Um... if you whoever you're playing could work out like an hour a day, and leave it up, I don't know if it would kick you due to inactivity... (Note you can also save games too)

Well I usually get up in between coats of paint to wash 2 to four dishes and a handful of utensils at a time. Incredibly easy to go through the chores this way.

Maybe a little offtopic, but if anyone happens to be on in the next few hours, and wouldn't mind showing me the ropes, I'd really appreciate it. I don't get too many windows of opportunity where I could use vassal, and malifaux seems quite interesting, but I want to actually try it out before buying an army.

No sorry, I've been super busy with both of my jobs. I'll let you know hopefully by the week's end.

If we can't do anything official, it's not like we couldn't just go ahead and do it.

So update! I had been kind of holding off until Wyrd Chronicles 5 was released in addition to work being super busy. I had been thinking of turning this into a campaign rather than just a league, using the new campaign rules.

With this being the internet, and all of us being around the world, we might be hard pressed to play to a set schedule, but I think this is certainly doable.

I'm waiting to hear back from Justin to see if I can do this in any "official" capacity, but I feel if the interest is here, we'll do it anyways

Here is what I'm thinking for the rules:

I so wish I had a proper internet connection here, instead of a smart phone. If this happens, though, I could probably arrange something so long as we could schedule times.

We would most certainly be able to schedule times. And I do have approval for an "official" league

I'll throw my name in. At that rate it should be trivial to manage to schedule games. I'll take the Viktorias for the sake of simplicity, I guess.

It might be a good idea to try to draw more people in, throw a link and a recruitment pitch in our signatures or something. This subforum seems like it's been particularly inactive for the past couple of weeks, even compared with before that.
