I know my way around GIMP. Maybe a screenshot from Vassal, overlaid with something like "DakkaDakka Malifaux Campaign" with a subscript of "to be played on Vassal; signups open now"?

My computer with Vassal is not working at the moment.

I've got Vassal with the Malifaux mod on my computer (even though it's not connected to the internet). I'll try to whip something up; what do you think of the text? Anything better occur to you (I've never felt I was too good at writing bits like that)?

I've made a few versions, with different maps and factions (Freikorps vs Lilith brood, LJ vs Seamus, and Ramos vs Sonnia). Where should I put them for hosting? I've thrown them in with this post (they're wargaming related, and images, so that's an acceptable use for the moment, right?) if you want to look at them.

I've also still got everything open, if you have any suggestion for improvement.

Edit: I don't like the orange one, but every color I tried either made it entirely unreadable or suffered the same contrast issues.

What if we were to throw the text into one of the Malifaux texts? if you need the files, I can forward you an email with them in them. Just PM me your email address.

Also, I'm liking the map of the second one, but the text color of the first one.

Sir Pseudonymous is working on our advertisement logo, and once I get a few more questions answered from Justin at Wyrd, I'll submit an official Event Report, and probably give people a few weeks to sign up? And then we can start.

I probably won't be anything more than a ringer and an organizer, but will play if someone needs to get a game in before the month is out.


I'm thinking that if we have a few people sign up, it'll just be a competitive campaign for points, person with the most points at the end of the campaign will probably be sent a random blister from my prize box. If there are more than enough people (probably closer to 12+) I'll turn it into a map campaign, and see which faction can take control of Malifaux I'm not sure what sort of prize I could offer. Though I might just send a random blister to the person with the most points anyways.

Ok, I've done a new version of the banner, with the Freikorps vs Lilith brood background, in orange, with a couple of those fonts. Any thoughts?

Where should it be hosted for this? Is it ok to just use the attached image, or should we upload to a third party photohost? The only reason I haven't done that is because of how fickle this phone is about file transfers.

We can upload it to Dakka, it's wargaming related.

That was my assumption, but I just wanted to make sure.


I've tried a few different font layouts that occurred to me while looking at the one I just posted. My opinion is leaning between that and the first of these. Any opinions? I could also throw the text into the other backgrounds; if we're suggesting that people who signup put a banner in their signature, giving them a choice of backgrounds may be a good idea.

I like the first one you posted (2 posts ago), as well as the first one in your last post, and the third one. Those are the most readable to me.

That's 7 people plus 1 Alfndrate, we could probably get something going then, I'll send PMs today to anyone that is still interested in it. I'll do signups until the 31st, and the league will go from June, July, August, and September (remember you only need to do 2 games a month).

I'll have to check out the module and make sure it works. I'd love to get in on this, although I've played a whopping total of 0 games. Was thinking 'Crap, I need to make sure my group is 25 soul stones' then remembered it's Vassal.

Also, an official Vassal module? Yeesh. Seriously, why do I still play GW stuff?
