Hello everyone,

If you check my posts where on dakka you will suddenly realize I am a bit of of a grasshopper always jumping around from painting different things. For that reason I have no army fully painted.
Now however is where the revolution starts

I bought a ticket for the Caledonian uprising tournament and it is a three colour minimum. That means I have a month (well a few more days) to paint 1850pts. I have decided my list and I am going with Blood Angels plus Imperial fists allies. This will allow me to do Red with yellow and yellow with red schemes . So to try and keep me on track I will be updating this post with the Progress. My list is probably going to be the following subjected to a few changes if needed:http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/493298.page

And here is the details of what needs to be achieved:
Blood Angels:
HQ

Elites
Sanguinary priest
Armour done in white and oil wash applied. Waiting for it to dry, going for the old school look, white armour with red shoulder pads.

Troops
10 Man Assault squad (Painted and washing using Zenithal highlight, missing 3 models that are built but not undercoated)
10 Man Assault squad (Painted and washing using Zenithal highlight)

Fast Attack
Hyperious missile plataforms. (Need to buy the models, probably going for original forgeworld models)

Heavy support
5 Man Devastator Squad (Painted and washing using Zenithal highlight)
5 Man Devastator Squad (Painted using Zenithal highlight, missing pin wash)

Fortifications
Aegis defence line with Quad Gun, waiting dispatch.

Imperial Fist
HQ
Librarian in power armour -> Needs priming

Elites
7 Terminators -> Needs priming, missing shoulder pads for three

Troops
Tactical squad -> Needs priming

Daily plan:
Monday 10th -> Priming Tactical squad, librarian, 3 assault marines and 4Terminators
Tuesday -> Zenithal coat and varnishing on all the above, plus priming the reamining terminators assuming pads arrive in time
Wednesday - > Gaming club night so might not have much free time, Zenithal coat all the terminators
Saturday -> Black applied all over black parts and metal parts on the two assault squads, Oil wash on the yellow coats
Sunday -> Same as above but for the devastator squads, work on the sanguinary priest

Some delays today. Ended up not coming home as soon as I had planned so didn't do as much as expected. Still a fair amount though and did the power swords for the entire army. Currently looking like this.

Now needs the final highlight of yellow and then they are going to be sealed with varnish for an oil wash.

Yesterday update later than usual. Sorry about that but progress is still solid. Won't be able to do anything else for the next two days though. Also need to decide when to apply the decals if before or after the wash?

For quite a bit of progress on the weekend although I had some models falling while drying on the window managing to break the pointing finger of one of my marines. Really annoyed with that. Good progress on the priest as well

Sorry to everyone for not keeping this updated. With the holidays, crap internet access and having to rush through them once back I end up not taking that many pictures. On the other hand I did managed to complete it and take it to the Caledonian tournament where I got nominated for best painting. Unfortunately didn't win but still got second place, so I am hoping that with some more time to properly finishing them I might end up getting the prize next time.
But anyway here is the final picture of the full army before packing them:

I will try and get pictures of the individual units once I get back to a bit more of a normality

Why did you take IF allies - couldn't you have taken BA units to do the same thing?

Basically, librarian for null zone, tactical for combat tactics and terminators for cheaper hammer/shield. Looking backwards I actually think the 5 points extra for the hammer are worth it since you can get feel no pain from the priests. But combats tactics and null zone are huge at the moment due to the necron wraith spam builds that everyone is using in tournaments. Seriously it gets sick
