Okay, here's a chance to show off your skills. Shoe box land raiders and toilet-paper tube titans need not apply. Show us that AMAZING scratch build that everyone thinks is awesome! Mortarion, daemon primarch of the death guard. Made from a darth vader action figure. About 4 or 5 inches tall. Head is a jawa action figure with darth vaders rebreather attatched. Wings are from a high elf eagle. Shoulders are from a spawn action figure. The rest of the figure is a lot of chains, bits, greenstuff and plasticard

I'll offer up what I think is my best so far (problem is all my builds are my best  )
Be hold the MKVI War Angel (counts as a LRBT Exterminator, weapons; exterminator turret, hull lascannon, heavy bolter sponsons, heavy stubber mount, hunter killer and the Pask upgrade).

I enjoy scratchbuilding and converting more than painting, so i have a lot unpainted ones. And as i also tend to start more and more projects i have a lot unfinished scratchbuilds too...

The original story of my daemon prince was that he was mortally wounded by Kharne and was granted ascension as his warband was interring him in a dreadnought. The DP models seemed wussy compared to a dread so I busted out the greenstuff and made this:

Lots of excellent work in this thread!
My best scratchbuilt piece up to date is a Tau Barracuda. It is a bit low on details, as the Apoc game it was meant for came quicker than I was able to work on it, but I'm still happy with the results.

Pretty rough, and half of it is bitz so its not really a scratch build. Its a first step, I hope to be able to thrown down a full tank like those above, you guys are pretty amazing!

yeah its based off a 1/35th scale tank kit and alot of plastic card and tau stuff (about 2 hammerheads IIRC ), made it since I was tired of seeing all tau super heavies as big robots (not a big fan of giant robbos )

I've not had much luck with scratchbuilding, but I do alot of converting. I don't have anything like the stuff above, but here's one of my favorite pieces.
A 4th of july decoration. 3 dollars at Goodwill
Turned into a Post- Apoc Distillery.

Those images are oddly taken. It is completed now, Ever since I went to my local GW store to play 40k it hasn't seen much use. I was really into building terrain but now that I don't use my own bored not so much.
