Can't believe these weren't posted:
Eclipses and Egberts
It's a Friday morning after a total eclipse of the sun here in Mierce Towers... clearly this occurred because Skōll devoured the sun, of course.
(Now, as mentioned previously, Darklands: First Edition is close to fulfilment and so there won't be a great deal to show each week from here on in. Even so, there's still some cracking miniatures ahead - and there'll be plenty of painted miniatures to show, too, even after the project is fulfilled!)
Anyway, this week there's:
sculpt work in progress from Stéphane Simon;
a list of the miniatures that are currently being sent in Wave 3, and what will be sent in the next few waves;
updated lists of sculptors and sculpts;
the fifth snippet of the Darklands: First Edition rules;
downloadable versions of the current QuickStarter Rules, Muster Rules and Kindred Musters;
...and anything else you can expect from us over the next few months.
Let's get on with it!
Wolfborn
We've an update from Stéphane Simon this week!
The Wolfborn are almost half-way through now...
Stéphane Simon's finished Wigstan and has turned his attention to the unit champion, Egbert!
We are certainly hoping that Stéphane gets all of the Gesith done for Wave 6!
Birds, Abhorrents and Eclipses
It's a Friday morning after a total eclipse of the sun here in Mierce Towers... clearly this occurred because Skōll devoured the sun, of course.
This week we have more... stuff!
sculpt work in progress images from Olivier Bouchet, and Roberto Chaudon;
a list of what miniatures are currently being sent in Wave 4 and Wave 5;
an updated list of sculptors and sculpts for this project;
the fourth snippet of the Darklands: First Edition rules;
downloadable versions of the current QuickStarter Rules, Muster Rules and Kindred Musters;
...and anything else you can expect from us over the next few months.
Let's begin!
Hrókr
We have works in progress from Roberto Chaudon and Olivier Bouchet to show you this week!
Words are useless. Just look at Roberto Chaudon's work on Hrókr, and rejoice!
Hrókr is now complete, so he will definitely make it into Wave 6!
Next up for Roberto is Enslaved Ágriosávra...!
Rulguss
Olivier Bouchet is working hard on the Abhorrents of Ys, as you can see - and
The beclawed Rulguss is now complete, and is looking fantastic!
The morning star is not attached for moulding purposes, but we're sure you can imagine it on him.
With Rulguss complete, that leaves just one to do, the champion, Gorz... so we're hopeful of a Wave 6 finish!
The Érainn!
It's Friday yet again... where on earth does the time go?
This week we have:
sculpt work in progress updates from Allan Carrasco and Valentin Zak;
an updated list of sculptors and sculpts for this project;
the latest snippet of the Darklands: First Edition rules;
news of where you can download the current QuickStarter Rules, Muster Rules and Kindred Musters from the Mierce Miniatures website;
...and anything else you can expect from us over the next few months.
Let's begin!
This week it's all Érainn... for we have the usually speedy update from Allan Carrasco and one from Valentin Zak, too!
Men of Clochar
The lovely Valentin Zak has been working hard on the Men of Clochar, as you can see - he's around half way through sculpting every member of the unit!
Pádraig is the Tuanagh champion and a bit of a madhead...
He's looking great so far, although we need to get his hair bigger and spikier...
The banner-bearer, Dara, gains an axe...
Dara has progressed nicely since the last time we saw him...
The herald, Ronan, gains an axe too.
We've seen Ronan before of course, and he's certainly getting there!
The lovely Brian is quite mad, and has an axe. Not a great combination...
He's also wearing a sack. As you would, if you drunk as much ale as him...
The last warrior of the unit, Colm, is looking superb.
We are convinced that the Men of Clochar will make it into Wave 7!
Mórannach
Sigh... Allan Carrasco. We love you, mate. Mórannach is stunning, as predicted last week! I bet he smells though.
Mórannach should definitely make it into Wave 7!
Ogre Drakes and Pleasure Demons
Welcome to this, the first Friday update for the BaneBeasts: Mighty Monsters project!
For those who have not experienced our projects before, we try to keep all of our backers as updated as possible with images of sculpt works in progress, what sculptors are working on, shipping waves and general information about this and other projects.
So here we are - the very first one, and this week we have:
sculpt work in progress updates from Yannick Hennebo and Tim Prow;
an idea of what will ship, and when;
a list of sculptors and sculpts for this project;
...and anything else you can expect from us over the next few months.
Let's begin!
This week we have an update on a work in progress from Yannick Hennebo, and something new to show from Tim Prow...
Pleasure Demon
The Pleasure Demon - sculpted by Yannick Hennebo - has already been revealed, of course, but it's worth showing you those images again as they were shown during the project.
(NSFW spoilered)
The whip will need reinforcing a little but she should make it into Wave 7, and Yannick does of course still have to do the upgrade, the Pleasure Demon with Swords.
Ogre Drake
A new sculptor for us but an old hand at the job, Tim Prow, has been cracking on with his work on the Ogre Drake... and completed both versions! We absolutely love what Tim has done here.
Here's his lovely big hammer...
The Ogre Drake will definitely make it into Wave 7!
Along with the Ogre Drake, Tim Prow has also completed work on the Unhelmed Ogre Drake with Axe!
Like the Ogre Drake, this guy will definitely make it into Wave 7!

Did a 15+ hour day today, but I can still put a smile on my face by rummaging through the box of resin crack that arrived.....improperly dressed sword maidens, axe wielding maniacs, snake men, giant four armed minotaurs (he is a big fella, isn't he?)....ohh what fun there is to be had.

Seriously. By the time I've finished work and helped my daughter with homework my brain is fried. I look at the massive updates and just curl into a ball.
Most of what I want is the alternate factions and generals from the last Darklands one ( not the new factions) so do I order them know before the end of the month?

I was interested in the alternate generals Ysian models to augment my KS1 faction set but between the exchange rate plus shipping the amount it would cost to just get a few models was prohibitive. I'm hopeful that the game will eventually gain more popularity and more FLGS will carry the line so that I can do things like pick up additional models here and there without having to wait for another KS.

Yeah, I know - I've just about been able to keep myself convinced that I have no need for them so far, but every time I see progress on Hrokr it seem that maybe I do need birdmen. Maybe just one....just a little one....and maybe a friend to keep him company....or a couple of friends....
And dammit, pointing out that Agni is a bird-woman just encourages me tothink I could possibly convert her into some sort of Slaaneshi demon....maybe use some of he gorgorar tails to produce a female Quetzalcoatl type creature.
Dammit Alph, you've put ideas in my head now...I know I'm going back to that site now......

Some of the earlier ones should be in the gallery on the Mierce Militia Facebook page, as well as painted photos of earlier releases - updating the FB galleries is on my to-do list.

Server hard drive (new one installed last week by the hosts) has fallen over.
Creator Mierce Miniatures 1 day ago
Right. Quick update on the server situation.
It looks like the hard drives have physically failed on the Mierce server. I've decided to go for a new server, and migrate the data from the old server to the new one. This will take a couple of days, so the website will be down until then - as will our e-mails, so if you really need to get in touch with me, please use the messaging service on Kickstarter, which I check daily regardless.
I would ask all of you to be vigilant across the web and if anyone asks about what's happened to the website, please inform them what's happened.
As the website's down, I will now extend the Host deadline for another week, until the 6th of March.
Now I'm off to kill something..
It 'should' be up tomorrow (Thursday)

Darklands: First Edtion KS update
Egbert and Rules
It's Friday!
(Now, as mentioned previously, Darklands: First Edition is close to fulfilment and so there won't be a great deal to show each week from here on in. Even so, there's still some cracking miniatures ahead - and there'll be plenty of painted miniatures to show, too, even after the project is fulfilled!)

the latest snippet of the Darklands: First Edition rules;
downloadable versions of the current QuickStarter Rules, Muster Rules and Kindred Musters;
...and anything else you can expect from us over the next few months.
WEBSITE PROBLEMS
Many of you have tried to access the Mierce Miniatures website for the past week, with no success - and that's because our server has died, unfortunately. We've had to order a new server, which has just been sorted, and we're currently getting the website ready again - it's just possible that will be done today, but we'll see.
Orders from the 17th to the 23rd of March are lost
Unfortunately, however, we've lost about a week's worth of orders. Our last backup was on the 17th of March, and so if you have placed an order on our website from the 17th of March until the 23rd of March, that order is lost. To recreate your orders, please send us the e-mail receipt of your order, containing a PDF, and we'll sort it on the website.
We realise this is not ideal, and can only apologise for any inconvenience this causes.
Anyway, enough of that... let's get on with it!
Egbert
Again, we've an update from Stéphane Simon - and Egbert is looking fantastic...
The Wolfborn are over half-way through now...
Stéphane Simon's almost completed the Gesith champion, Egbert - and he's looking superb!
We are certainly hoping that Stéphane gets all of the Gesith done for Wave 6!
Automatically Appended Next Post: DL:New Kindres KS update - that's it for today
More Érainn, and Host Deadline Extension
It's Friday yet again... where on earth does the time go?
This week we have:
sculpt work in progress updates from Allan Carrasco and Valentin Zak;
an updated list of sculptors and sculpts for this project;
the latest snippet of the Darklands: First Edition rules;
news of where you can download the current QuickStarter Rules, Muster Rules and Kindred Musters from the Mierce Miniatures website;
...and anything else you can expect from us over the next few months.

Host Deadline Extended to the 6th of April
As we've had these issues with the website, we've decided to extend the host deadline to the 6th of April, to give you guys time to sort out your orders.
Anyway, enough of that... let's get on with it!
This week it's all Érainn again... for Allan Carrasco and Valentin Zak have been working hard!
Men of Clochar
The Men of Clochar are progressing nicely now, with two members of the unit just about complete!
Pádraig, the Tuanagh champion, is almost done and is looking mean and moody!
We think someone stole the rabbits he was going to have for his tea.
The herald, Ronan, is pretty much done too.
We are very hopeful that the Men of Clochar will make it into Wave 7!
Mórannach
Once again we are struggling to find words to describe Allan Carrasco and his latest masterwork, Mórannach. So we suggest you find them...
Mórannach is about complete, so he should definitely make it into Wave 7!

Mórannach might be my favorite Mierce model ever... obviously right up my alley but really well executed, too!
I agree about their treemen, though - I'm not a fan of those at all, but I think it's the concept art that really let them down (can't blame the sculptors).

Mórannach is really impressive.
So impressive in fact that I must stay far away from it, because I know I'd break and snap over half of all those limbs and branches growing off him within minutes of taking him out of the box.
Certain minis should be viewed from afar, put together by much more careful hands than mine. Mórannach is one of those figures.

Mórannach is looking really impressive, I was going to give the Érainn a miss but even the Men of Clochar are great models, I wasn't impressed with their artwork but the models are growing on me. Nuala or Caitrin will be the ones who break me though
I'm still not sure on the Abhorrents with there three legs, I want them for my Ysians but I cant get my head round them.

It feels weird to complain about boobs on a model... but what exactly did Mildryth do to achieve that result? I am trying to figure out the anatomy there, and it is just all impossible angles. Or curves. Or non-Euclidean Nippless Surfaces.
What has to be true about Mildryth's world to make that picture make sense?
Also, it is a little strange how her ankle armor is way more technologically advanced than everything else, save maybe her pauldron.
