Well executed, but I kind of wonder how stuff could be THAT rusty and still be in good enough working order to be glowey.

You can do rust really well. My only problem is that I'm not feeling that the bases work well with the colors of the models. I like the idea of a beat up nasty necron army taking the field. I think the bases would work a bit better if you used some metallics on the models.

I really like the way these turned out. Only thing I have to say is these guys must carry around tons of WD-40.

I think they look sick. However, I don't really like the execution on the desert bases.

They are beautifully done, but wouldn't something THAT rusty just fall apart?

I like the look of the models (might have gone a touch lighter on the troops, just to bring out the details of the surface a touch more, but they still look good, as-is), but the bases are way too vivid for my taste. The fact that it looks like they rose from a sulfur pit instead of sand aside (not unbelievable, for a 40k army, anyway), I think the nearly neon yellow draws attention away from the somewhat paler green glow and much darker bodies. Even so, it's still a rather impressive force.

I love the rust effect, it's really well done and stands out. I feel that the OSL could certainly use some more 'punch' and use a brighter green as a highlight, it feels very flat at this point. Also, the basing IMO doesn't suit the general colour scheme, it's a little distracting and unfortunately reminds me of cornbread. Something darker I think would suit them better.

Peace through superior firepower.

Love them. The rust effect is very well made, and I believe it contrasts nicely with the bases.

There is a building from norway that is designed to rust: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grieg_Hall

I do not know about necrons but everything is so far fetched it would not be impossible to considder some metal that rust on the outside and the necrogenesis (or whatever that metal is called) makes shure it is still functional.

The necrosn are throwing themselves on the brutalistic wave:
