I haven't looked at them or done the research to tell if the different models are all to scale to one another, but it shouldn't be too hard to extrapolate the scale.
I believe the Y-wing is supposed to be like 16 meters long. Extrapolate the length of the model relative to 16 meters, and you should get a reasonable approximation of the scale.
Here's a site where you can get relatively accurate information about what the ships' actual sizes are supposed to be:

Don't know the scale but I can tell you the A-wing is 3.5 cm by 2.5.

The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that. |

If that is accurate, the scale is approximately 1:275.
This is actually a model scale that does exist. You can find radio controlled boats built in this scale.
To give a real life comparison, if the USA's nuclear carrier USS Enterprise were converted to a model at this scale, it would be just under 1.25 meters in length, or approximately 4'1" long.
Also, a 6' tall human would be about 6.5mm tall at this scale.

Call it 6mm then, which is normally reckoned as 1/300 or 1/285.
Lots of micro armour is 1/300. GHQ is 1/285.
6mm is a popular scale of wargame figures.

I believe they're slightly bigger than those old micromachines.

The x-wing and y-wing are at least only marginally larger than the micro machines ones.
The TIE fighter for X-wing is larger than its micro-machine cousin (unlike the old plastic SW starship miniatures game where the WERE the same ). The falcon is MUCH larger for the x-wing game (about 3" across as opposed to 1 1/2" ).

Apparently the scale is 1/270. There was a blog post about it on the Fantasy Flight site:

Micro machines are hard to scale because it's all over the place.
-Your average micro machines car is slightly larger than N (1:144 or 10mm) scale, but your average micro machine van would be the same size as a car and thus about 10mm. I've got a few military micro machines that will end up as part of 10mm scenery.
-Micro Machine figures (Military, Star Wars, etc) are aproximately 20mm in scale which matches up pretty well with 1/76 or 1/72 scale military models.
-Micro Machines star wars vehicles were all over the place. Mostly 6mm (1:285 or 1:300) or much much smaller. There's probably a few that would scale up with X Wing game vehicles.
-Micro machines aircraft and other non-car vehicles are similarly varied in scale

Micromachines were not in scale. They were in size. They all had to be roughly the same size, the size of a small toy.
