I don't know anything about this universe, but holy cow it looks fun!!!!

Even the game play video looks really solid. I mean, everything about this game just oozes "fun;" and they're prepaints, which will be great for me considering with all my KS shipping this year, I'll have a metric crapton of unpainted plastic and resin..

Did you see the level that includes the prepainted 3D resin terrain and tokens......

Urhhmmahhhgawd...

I think I want to find an episode to watch. Anyone know if there's any free streaming anywhere?

Kinda sucks you can't get the 3D counters and resin terrain outside the higher pledge levels. They should do them as add ons. Also, is anyone else surprised that the first stretch goal doesn't come until 100k? Which is twice the initial fund level.

I watched the first episode and now I'm hooked. The animation is fantastic and I'm digging the story. Pretty excited to binge watch season 1 this weekend.

Anything preventing you Brits from hopping on with one of us and having us ship it to you?

Yeah. I'm sorta thinking the same. The stretch goals so FAr apart absolutely sucks.

Unfortunately this new level does nothing to convince the "average" buyer to back.

Well, because all the promos come at $500, it's easy to see why that is the perception. The earliest you can get the 2 extra promos and the 3D tokens is $300, so I'd argue that's the sweet spot. Which is, IMO, too high for a sweet spot.

Just make sure you don't express those concerns in the KS forum. The fanboy beat down is in full effect. Lots of the folks don't seem to understand that the more people they can get in a lower tiers the larger the player base becomes. I read it, and I can help but think those folks would be just fine of the $500 option was the only option. I even got called "cheap" for being unwilling to plunk down $500.

Yikes.

They're also convinced Soda Pop is just dying to do a partnership with them and that SDE models are coming.

The MSRP is $15 higher than the French edition, they've moved away from blind boxes for the US market, and you have the opportunity to get some promos that are otherwise hard to get, but only If you pledge at least $300.

Other than that my understanding is that it's identical.

In working with Japanime to see if we can get some demos going at adepticon. Anyone interested in that at all?

RTides - Japanime is a bit concerned that adepticon isn't the "right crowd" but I'm pretty convinced that audience would eat this game up. Thoughts?

Honestly, their real concern talking to them has been the fact that it's prepainted. THe first thing that came to mind for me would be that folks at Adepticon would be all about that, since most of us have way too many Grey Armies to begin with.

Well looks like Japanime won't be bringing this to Adepticon, which is a shame. I tried to offer up my help to demo it at night, but they don't seem to want to come unless they can also be in the dealer hall, which I just dont have the time available to man then entire time.

I still think the game looks great, and the online version is quite fun, but I continue to be put off by the stretch goals and treatment of the lower pledge levels. Add-ons only available to $300 backers or more, 100k stretch goals, etc. Its unfortunate that the French company, Ankama, that owns the property is so steadfastly refusing to do away with any ridiculous notions of "exclusivity" for the American market, especially when they've already moved away from a blind-buy model.

I really want to get the game and back the game, but I'm unwilling to pay $500 for it like some of the serious kool aid drinkers in there, and I find it distasteful that some of the series' main characters are only available to those that do. It just feels like a lot with this campaign hasn't been well thought out. I can't help but think that some of these KSes were just thrown together without much thought or planning (Hello Through the Breach), and for me that just doesn't fly.

As it stands, I'm pretty close to dumping my pledge and hopping on something like Heroes of Normandie or Myth.

I've stopped posting in the KS forum for it simply because the gushy fanboy love and optimism is just too much. And for a game many of them haven't even played, nor have they watched the series. It's quite amazing, to me, honestly.

What's also amazing is some of the 'expectations' of price were some of these items made add ons. The notion that this token pack should be anywhere near $100, as some of them are claiming, is absurdly laughable. I think you're spot on with a $30-40 price point for the terrain pack and/or the token pack, and even that 'feels' a bit high. I think $15 for the individual figures would be much more palatable.

I've tried to explain to the president of Japanime Games my rationale for how I'd price the KS levels, but it seems like his hands are really tied with Ankama's desire for 'exclusive content.' They're really hell bent on keeping some of these items artificially rare. I just dont get that.

The project just continues to frustrate me. The absolutely have to be guessing at prices, because they have no clue.

They're convinced painting one of these models is harder/more labor intensive than the paint being put on the Dust Tactics Premium models (no way). They're also convinced that the fact that the Krosmaster KS has only 28% of its backers at the "Sweet spot" level (as opposed to say, 82% for Zombicide 2) is a problem. I think it's getting to the point that the fanboy glasses aren't allowing them to even listen to any cogent critiques.

Interestingly, it sounds like JAG just confirmed that all of the promos and tokens are goingto be available to retailers later on..... Need to get some confirmation on that, though, because he kind of beat around the bush when he stated it. More to come.

Ditto. I backed my pledge down to $15, was $150. It looked cool in the beginning, but its really just not offering enough...Ive found other things that are better uses for the money IMO.

Compltely agree with you. The $100k Stretch Goals. The add-ons that are ONLY available to the $500 level. If that's really who youre marketing to, don't include the other levels. Seriously.

Agreed. The paint jobs are simple, one layer airbrush jobs, probably done by machine. They don't seem to get that.

And quite frankly, the other folks in the KS forum aren't people I'd ever want to play with if that's going to be the core community

With Arena Rex and Myth continuing to look better and better with every (reasonably spaced) stretch goal, this one just keeps falling off my radar.

Oh yeah, they were also convinced this game would never be discounted from online retailers...so there's that. I'm really not sure what closet these folks are living in.

Yeah. The promos just aren't worth the asking price.

I also think the price thy tacked on the terrain and tokens is absurd.

Good point Orlando.

I would have stayed in on this one if there was a reasonable way and price to get Nox and Goultard.

But... there isn't!

I tried to tell the person running the project this multiple times through our email conversations. They simply overvalue what the items are "worth". It's so strange that they do away with the blind blister model and then keep these other exclusives. Baffling.

And now that I know ill be able to get a copy for $50... Sorta seals it.
