I've been looking through several different options.

HQ Attachment:

Librarian or Int-Champlain (Favoring the Libby with Divination)

Unit:

Deathwing Knights (Knight Master, 4 Deathwing Knights, Perdious Relic of the Unforgiven)

or

Deathwing Terminators (4 TH/SS, 1 CF/HF)

or

A Command Squad Variant with Champion / Apothecary / Standard Bearer with the majority carrying TH/SS

I figure inside a Land Raider Crusader the Knights are able to make best use of the Frag Launchers - A Land Raider Redeemer would be interesting with Flamestorm - I know the target priority for Knights and TH/SS guys .... its just a toss up that I will most likely try each variant but some outside input would be nice.

Thanks Guys

I'm a big fan of the Redeemer over the Crusader (love some template weapons) with all the frickin' re-rollable cover saves floating around. Any of the units you listed would be good for some "in your face" action.

I put a techmarine with powerfield generator in a Deathwing Landraider....essentially makes it invincible.

I have been running a command squad with heavy flamer, powerfist, champion, apothecary, standard bearer(chapter banner).chain fist. SInce I have the powerfield generator, i can save some points by not taking TH/SS. it has been going alright, they hit hard-ish and has some good surviablilty. I have never tried knights...being AP4 hurts them in my opinion.

The main thing I am trying to figure out is what landraider I should use to do the most damage.

I would say that the decked-out command squad with a Chaplain would have the most punch but will also cost the most. The regular DW termies will do pretty well with TH/SS and have the option of scoring with Belial. The Knights are the cheapest variant and still pack a good punch.

Go with the knights and Int chaplain if you want a unit that bully's others. It's so fun to use!

As pointed out elsewhere on Dakka, there is very little going for interrogator chaplains, compared to an L2 librarian. Prescience covers most of the benefits of the chaplain and you can boost the unit with another power as well.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

There is debate on the HQ unit a lot. I voived my defense for the good old chappy quite a lot, but if you want to know more, follow this link.

here is discussion about it. Main thing is, chappy is a little more geared for CCW and his re-rolls don't have a chance to kill himself with perils.

Salvo banner cmd squad with a power field techmarine in a crusader seems hard to beat for me.

Definitely the Knights. Thanks to Deathwing versatility, they should really be your only unit that can't benefit from Vengeful Strike in any way - that also means that they can have trouble catching up enough to get into combat where they belong. A Land Raider brings them to combat quickly, in relative safety AND if it's a Crusader you can give them assault grenades on the way in and also have room to attach an IC or 2.

Sounds about what I thought - ill go with the knights and a LRC (for frag launchers) with a libby and see how it works (dont have a chaplain model yet).

The Redeemer has the frag launchers too and does way more damage than the Crusader.

Playing mostly Necromunda and Battletech, Malifaux is awesome too!

...but has a bit less room. So if your ICs in Termy armour you'll only get the one.
Personally I'd also prefer having the hurricane bolters for mobs considering the Knights have enough oomph to take out smaller units by themselves, but that's just me.

With using 6 models in TDA which Land Raider do you guys think would work out better?
