That is so unfair.Sm and Tyr have no cheap long ranged weapons that are actually useful.Railguns can just blast anything and everything in either codex with no return threat.DE and eldar can easily get into range,and can spam dirt cheap weapons,while orks can take amssive amounts of models.Chaosd Daemons just pop up and unload a few Bolts of Tzeentch.Don't even get me started on Long Fangs.

He means the Orbital Bombardment special rule which comes with the Chapter Master. The Orbital Strike is a old Daemonhunter unit which could have easily been spammed in this thread.

Don't complain. Railguns and crisis suits are some of the only good things Tau have. Without those...they'd literally be incapable of winning without rolling all ones and sixes all game long, whichever is required for the current situation.

I have a 36" Flat out move,and the Combination of AV 13,being a tank and the Caetus Ram special rule means that I only have to move 18" for a Str 10 hit,that rolls 2D6 for Armour pen,and I get a 5++ from.I am a fast tank slkkimmer,immune to melta,have an 18" range melta blast,and carry 10 PA,artificer or Termy armoured models.

I can catch you and your supersonicness with my after burners.If I ram you at 18",then that is a Str10,2D6 pen hit on your AV 12.I,on the other hand,take a Str6 hit,which won't even scratch my paint.Even if I don't ram tyou,I have a Str 8,AP 1 melta blast to put through you.Which I can fire at 12" move because I am a Fast Skimmer.

So against 1,I win.Against 2,maybe,maybe not.

Versus 10 Strength 8 attacks with a chance too stun you, and one wound instant kills you.

I strike first,hitting on 3+,wounding on 2+,with only the SS to save you.

You hit on 4+,wound on 2+,and I have a 3++.If I survive,then it would be either a draw or you would need a morale test,possibly meaning you fall back.

If it is my trun,then I have my HF to maybe get in a kill,followed by 5 attacks.

That was giving you first turn and assault. If I get first turn I get 15 attacks hitting on 4's killing on 2's, you get 3 attacks.

You can't ever get more than 4 attacks with a relic blade.

If you get the assault you would on average:
Hit twice
Wound twice
I'll on average save once-twice

I would:
hit 5 times
Wound 4 times
you fail you inv save twice

Face it, Vulkan's dead, twice, even WITH the assault
