So I’m selling something. We’ll trying to anyways…

Its an idea I’ve been toying with for some time now so I thought I’d put it out there and see what happens.

This is an alternate version of the Space Marine Terminator Storm Shield that I made some time ago for my Iron Hands army as I was really unhappy with the ones that come with the plastic kit, so I went about making my own. I wanted them to still use the same “design language” that the Space Marine range uses so they would fit in but wanted it to look a bit more creditable and solid looking rather than the current one.

So to test the waters I’ve listed 10 packs of 5 on eBay for $12.95AUD each that includes FREE postage within Australia for the first 10 packs sold.

The Games Workshop Terminator model is shown for scale purposes only and isn’t included.

This is what they look like when they come out of the mold.

So what you get in a pack is 5 unpainted, unassembled polyurethane resin storm shields. As you can see, some cleaning will be required.

Did I mention FREE POSTAGE for the first 10 sold? (international postage is only $6.20AUD)

I’ve got a few other ideas for after market accessories in my head, and depending on the success of these will depend on whether or not they see the light of day. So fingers crossed.

So go to my eBay account and buy a couple so I can pay for my tertiary education and not eat 2 minute noodles all week…

Thanks for dropping in

John

Those look strangely cool. They remind me of the boarding action shields created by FW and maybe with a few design tweaks here and there or something it could look awesome.

To be honest i'm not a fan of those. They look like the termi has ripped out a door hatch.

Don't get me wrong. The execution is nice and the lines of the details are nice and good but it doesn't say storm shield for me.

One thing you might want to consider is a viewing hole either in the form of a reinforced slit in the shield or by leaving a cavitiy on the upper corner.

Fluffwise storm shields generating an energy field for protection. You could add a techy generator of some sort to it for additional detailing. Either a large one in the center or if you want to reserve that space for decals smaller ones in the corners.

Just a few of my thoughts.

I think that's a pretty sweet storm shield. Seems a lot more practical to me...and it actually looks like it could stop an anti-tank shell.

It does look like he ripped a door off something hahah. It's still fricken sweet regardless, nice job and good luck selling them. I'd buy some if I didn't do something similar and make my own.

Those are very cool. Seeing that all marine equipment looks like its made out of blast doors I think you have nailed the aesthetic perfectly

Actually. If you make a right hand version you could also sell them as matched sets of weapon shrouds for razorbacks and suchlike.

I really like these although I'm not quite sure they suit the aesthetic I'm after, still I'm tempted to pick a set up.

I really wish you luck with this, you seem to be quite good and while they aren't exactly what I'm after I could see them suiting other armies really well, I'm sure it will be hard to make this work from Australia thanks to the costs and exchange rates, but I'd love to see more from you in the future.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

Not my cup of tea, but well made. They just seem to block all vision as well as attacks as the hand is so low down. If you moved it up it would protect the feet and allow more vision.

Very nice. I'd pick up a few myself if I weren't aiming for something else. Maybe my Carcharadons? Hmm...

I'm a tad more inclined to something with spikes and runes on it with the occasional hint of teeth, claws, and wolf fur myself

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one?
