The first console I ever played on was on an Atari. First game was either tennis or pacman... I don't remember which. I played Combat alot... I loved the tanks.
The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

The first one I played was some sort of atari rip off that my dad brought home. It had tennis.
The first console I had of my own was a nes. Super Mario Brothers was my first game, but I also enjoyed the turtles arcade game, Bad dudes vs Dragonninja (even though it sucked) Battletoads vs double dragon, Blue Shadow, Ninja Gaiden, I also loved the Batman game.

Its because ordinance is still a word.
However, firing ordinance at someone isn't nearly as threatening as firing ordnance at someone.
Ordinance is a local law, or bill, or other form of legislation.
Ordnance is high caliber explosives.
No 'I' in ordnance.
Don't drown the enemy in legislation, drown them in explosives.

Atari 2600 -- I think it was the '82 version. But I don't think we had any games in color so it might have been something earlier (or we just had gakky games). The first console I spent a lot of time with was the NES. We only had two games for the NES -- Mario/Duckhunt and Godzilla but I played LoZ, Castlevania, and Super Mario 2 at my cousins' house.
Lego Racers 2 on Game Boy Advance. I got Flintstones: Big Trouble in Bedrock at the same time, but Lego Racers 2 is my spiritual first game.

I played on a Commodore 64 (Winter Games, Summer Games, Bruce Lee!) but the first bona fide console was an atari as well; Pitfall, frogger, River Raid.
NES though, between the Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy probably had the most time spent - though BattleToads and TMNT also took way more time than anyone should have spent.

The mighty C64, probably playing Boulder Dash (I don't actually remember what game I played on it first but I remember playing Boulder Dash on it more than most of the other games).

The Original X-Box and the first game I ever played on it was Forsa Motor Sports (I still have that console sitting next to me)
Or if you count PC, my first game was when I was around 3-4 and playing Age of Empires I got off of a Cornflakes box (it had the full game on it).

For me as well; this was the first game I remember playing at home. It wasn't my home though - our first console was an NES. The first game I remember getting into in a big way was either Dragon Warrior or The Legend of Zelda - I played them at approximately the same time.
Also, about a billion hours of RC Pro AM.
I also played a ton of Winter Games and Barbarian on the Commodore 64; if those count. We cetainly didn't use the Commodore for anything else I remember. This was prior to us getting the NES - probably right in the middle - Combat, then the C64, then the NES.
