what is the best load out for the SR? no idea on witch to use and should i bother magnetizing all the wepons when there is a distinct advantage to 1 over the others

I run Assault cannon and MM, both Twin Linked.

Seems to take care of other flyers rather quickly.

Doesn't help that the OP didn't specify GK or BA version.


I'm sure BA players would love the access to psybolt ammo for theirs.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

For SM, or rather, formally BA, I like to go Assault Cannon and Mutltimelta with Hurricane bolters. Very good.

In 5th Ed for GK I would run with the same loadout as you were able to move Combat and Fire everything. Everything.

With the changes to Flyer shooting, the superior loadout is Heavy Bolters, Assault Cannon and Hurricane Bolters with Psybot Ammo. Move as a flyer and unleash Psychic Fury.

I go with the MM, AC, and hurri bolters, 24" cloud of death at that point... and its a MM over the HB cos well... if i need to hit something with armor.. a HB gets laughed at

I find the AC to deal with most things just fine when I run HBs. Plus the BA version has Str 8 AP1 missiles.

The GK version I don't use for tank hunting, unless my Dreadknight dies. I like to use it as a transport to get thePaladins upboard fast. Then as a Gunship. If there is a lot of Anti-Flyer stuff about I usually use Summoning to teleport it upboard in Hover mode so if has more firepower.

Mulit-melta and lascannon all the time always unless your a GK scrub, in which case assault cannon plus hurricane bolters.

yeah i use the MM as the last resort after making sum1 use any infantry ablative wounds on a special character, then use the MM to ignore the armor saves.... or to POTMS it and use everything else elsewhere
