I had a 4 (it ended up being 3) player game of 40k Apocalypse.
2500 points per player.
I played Imperial Guard, plus a quickly made up attempt at doing a Dark Angels Deathwing force. I was playing against 2 folk, each with Grey Knights.
In an atempt to be clever, I fielded both a Stormblade, then a Shadowsword in a landing pad. The strategic assets I picked was the 'null zone generator' - which was pretty cool. Then Hammerblow, which I didn't read the rules of too well...
My opponents had 1 superheavy which happened to be err... A warhound titan. Strategic assets were hammerblow and err "We Have Reserves" - on the ****** titan.
In short, my poor army got hammered. The stormblade got hammerblowed by my opponents ability. Then, on the last turn I managed to hammerblow my own shadowsword.
Pretty much my only success of the day was managing to melta gun the warhound down. - For it to come on the next turn, darnit.
Somehow I managed to pull a draw out of, quite frankly, my rear end, by having an LT alive on 1 objective, and a couple of deathwing on another. The game was pretty much a total disaster otherwise!
We had a fairly large 3vs3 fantasy game in which I slaughtered many elves and orcs with Okkam's Mindrazor. But we were going to do that anyway, before we realised it was International Tabletop Gaming Day...
One of the interesting things I noticed while watching the livestream was, although most stores there had Games Workshop and 40k items on the walls, not a single one of the stores I watched actually mentioned *any* of their games.
It seems to me that the stores really aren't wanting to give GW any advertising...
The Tick: Everybody was a baby once, Arthur. Oh, sure, maybe not today, or even yesterday. But once. Babies, chum: tiny, dimpled, fleshy mirrors of our us-ness, that we parents hurl into the future, like leathery footballs of hope. And you've got to get a good spiral on that baby, or evil will make an interception.
Played a 1500pt 2v2 with my Guard and someone's Space Marines vs. BA and CSM. We lost because I forgot to grab the objectives. I also played a 800 2v1 demo game with a young kid and another new guy vs. my guard. I lost because I didn't grab the objectives. I had a great time, though.
Thought for the day: Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.
30k Ultramarines: 2000 pts
Bolt Action Germans: ~1200 pts
AOS Stormcast: Just starting.
The Empire : ~60-70 models.
1500 pts

@Compel - I shop at TW, I'm not their sock puppet. I meant to spend the morning playing MtG and Space Hulk with my boys, but various things conspired and it slipped our minds.
I played a 1k fun game (something I haven't done in a VERY long time with all the tournament practice). IG vs SW with Forge world. Game was a blast. Then I painted all the body armor on my IG.
And I forgot that is was Table Top Day until the day of.
Overall, it was a good day.
40k: IG "The Poli-Aima 1st" ~3500pts (and various allies) KHADOR X-Wing (Empire Strong)

I never said, nor implied you were. I just believe I remembered reading it was your local and even I've been getting emails and things about their plans for it!
Hm. You may be thinking of a different shop. TW has separated newsletters for their online and bricks-and-mortar presence and so far the bam newsletter had come out a grand total of once. Although, I think they disc mention #Tabletopday.
Apologies for misinterpreting your original comment. I might have been feeling touchy for non-forum reasons.
I played in a 100 point X-Wing miniature tournament with 6 players and went 2-1, placing 2nd. I won my entry fee of $10 back and a set of 5 acrylic Target Lock tokens...not a bad day.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

I played a 2400pt game of WHFB and a 300pt game of infinity.
The 40k languishes in a shed at my place. Unwanted and unmourned - because no-one at my club still plays it. I've dumped the rules and codices but the figures will see use again in other game rules.
I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.
Went to the FLGS (which was actually packed) and got in a 1500 point game. The guy I played against did more harm to himself than I dished out. two deepstrike mishap rolls of 1.
