Subject: Can anyone from the UK provide assistance to a BFG newbie?

Hi from New Zealand!
I've been playing a few games of BFG recently and it has really gained my respect and admiration. I have also been playing Titanicus and Epic. I've found them really refreshing compared to 40k. I have bought a small Tau fleet from Forgeworld and I would now like to build an imperial fleet. The only problem is the prices of mail order stuff from GW here in New Zealand. The prices are ridiculous compared to the price in the UK after currency conversion.
I am wondering if there is a kind hearted person in the UK whom I could have a small order sent to from GW that could forward that order onwards to me? I can pay for the postage cost through paypal and am happy to add on some for your hassle.
cheers
Earl

Why order direct from GW? Even with the postage forwarding, you will still be paying through the nose - the markup on BFG stuff from the GW website is astronomical. Your best bet is to scour UK Ebay (be very selective - some unscrupulous sellers really jack the prices up) or failing that, post a Swap Shop thread on here.
I managed to source a decent sized Chaos and an Imperial/Space Marine fleet from the Swap Shop here.

Mainly because I am willing to pay for new models if i can get them at UK prices. I'm quite picky and dont want to have to strip models or fix breakages etc. I tend to spend a lot of time painting my models so i want the best to begin with.

If you are set on buying new then you may want to consider a specialist seller/remailer like:
http://ozhammer.webs.com/
This might be a slightly more 'secure' method than trusting random forum poster A, for example - not that I am implying Dakka's membership are that way inclined of course!

Hi from New Zealand!
I've been playing a few games of BFG
Always surprises me how many NZers are on here.
Where do you find players for this? I've been wanting to get into it but there doesn't seem to be any love for BFG, Epic, and such.
