I love how the officer is singing show tunes.
Normally, I'm pretty hard on the Perry's because their plastics are so boring, and great googly moogly did they make a lot of models that capture the excitement of checking your rifle for sand, but these look like they have a lot of exciting poses as well. I am surprised and heartened by their bold embrace of the aspects of combat that involve aiming, shooting, and doing violence. If only the rest of society had the nerve to portray war as something other than nonthreatening men on long, tedious marches, we might not grow so fond of it.
Seriously, though, the details seem as crisp and sharp as one would expect from miniatures designers with the highest reputation.

The best part is how they are £18.00 for 38 minatures, compared to the same price for 10 of GW's plastic Cadians...
Very tempted to use a few boxes of these to flesh out my Guard army.

They should do some modern stuff with taliban/ al qaeda etc. Would sell really well, to hell with political correctness.
I was talking with someone who did an Afghan tour about gaming and the first thing he asked about was if he could do UK vs. taliban games.

I don't even play WWII games, but 18 pounds for 38 plastic soldiers that cool is so ridiculous that I might buy them. That is right plastic pricing.

Stone Bonkers Fabricator General
We'll find out soon enough eh.
|
These look fantastic, but I take it by the base sizes that they're either 25mm or "true" 28mm? If they're the same size as the WGF GI's they'll be completely titchy next to GW models, even the slightly-better-proportioned FW guardsmen :/

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.
"Your society's broken, so who should we blame? Should we blame the rich, powerful people who caused it? No, lets blame the people with no power and no money and those immigrants who don't even have the vote. Yea, it must be their fething fault." - Iain M Banks

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal |

28mm.
GW Imperial Guard are heroic 35mm, pretty much, the lasgun alone is around 4 feet long and they make space marines look like weedy midgets.
