What do you think would become of the Imperium and its people if in the 42nd-45thM all enemies of Mankind were eliminated?

Exterminatus on all Necron tomb worlds
Tau are (Finally) wiped out in a crusade.
Emprah awakens and defeats Chaos once and for all and closes the eye of terror.
All eldar craftworlds are destroyed
Commorragh Is invaded by the Imperium a 2nd time and destroyed.
Orks and Tyranids are wiped out by some new Psychic weapon made by the Emprah.

Humans would do what they are presently doing and have been doing for all of recorded time, make war on one another.

Well, knowing 40k, there would be something that would come in that would be somehow worse. if not, I suppose that some imperial citezens would have a slightly less gakky existence.

Not much, the usual trudge of survival.
With the usual crisis being poor harvests on agri worlds, supply issues.
Same as always really. Just without the overhanging presence of war.

Suppose the big question would be, without the threat of war, what would the mechanicus feel the need to stay with the imperium?

And what to do with all those space marines.

There would probably be another Great Crusade into another Galaxy or something

well.... everyone and everything would get hella boring...

and in the end. every space marine and guardsmen would turn to their left or right to another guy and question....

Chaos can not be defeated. As long as they are empathic lifeforms with a warp signature the Warp will feed on their emotions and will give birth to Chaos Gods who will succumb mortals.

Even if the Legions and all other Traitor Marines were eliminated (You would have to get rid of all the loyal Astartes as well as their independent structure and their lifestyle of fighting nonstop their whole life is way to prone to the persuasions of Chaos) there would be enough cults that try to overthrow the totalitarian structures of the Imperium everyday.

Also the Warp Anomalies are just stable gates between the Materium and the Warp. Even if the Worm Lord would be able to shut down the biggest of them there would be enough other ways for the forces of Chaos to get into the material realm (conjurations, temporal rifts, even the webway could break) to cause a whole buttload of problems.

All the SM on SM matches at the FLGS will finally be fluffy?

Other than that, it sounds godawful dull.

The IOM is only fun if it has something interesting to fight to make it look good.

GW would go out of business, as no one would want to play the tabletop game about doing your Imperial taxes.

Edit: And in-universe, the economy would crash as demand for skull-themed consumer products dries up, taking 98% of all manufacturing with it.

Alpharius would win, duh... or is it Alpha Legionnaire 427 posing as Omegon posing as Alpharius posing as the Emperor?

I'm sure that the bureaucracy would some how sterilize the universe via a tiny mistake which snow balls into even the emperor rage quitting life

Celestial Orrery is destroyed, the entire galaxy dies as every star promptly proceeds to nova.

Space Wolves get bored of extreme binge drinking and end up wiping out a few ultramar worlds for gaks and giggles.
Ends up in a mass SM civil war and the guard find a new breed of Xenos on a game of capture the flag on Catachan. As usual they were wiped out to a man.

Useless question. Pondering "What would happen if the war ended in Warhammer?" is about as useful as pondering "What would happen if all the planeswalkers vanished?" in Magic: The Gathering, or "What would happen if Warp drive stopped working?" in Star Trek. It'd fundamentally destroy the setting as we know it, remove the central conflicts, and eliminate anything interesting to play a game about.

For an example of a developer actually doing that to their game universe, see Mass Effect 3, where

Without war, it would be booooooooooooooriiiiiiiiiiing... also, "war, war never changes", probably your average marine would look at his brothers and say: "yo, wanna beer?"
and then they'll start a civil war 'cause marine X said the marine Y's Primarch is "stupid, neh neh!"

My guess would be the Imperium would disintegrate without war. Population would increase significantly causing food shortages. The economy would collapse. Nearly all manufacturing in the Imperium was geared to produce items for war, wouldn’t need them anymore. The Omnissiah would need to figure out in a hurry how to make cars, refrigerators, recliners, and TVs.

So the jobless, hungry people would rebel.

The current political balance of power would be altered. The Ecclesiarchy would be greatly weakened as the Emperor would say something like, “WTF, I said I wasn’t a god.” The Imperial Guard and Navy wouldn’t be nearly as important and would lose out on the High Lords of Terra. The Adeptus Mechanicus would be a wildcard the Imperium would have to keep them in the fold to have any chance for survival.

Oh and I’m sure civil wars would spring up

Those are my guesses anyway. As everyone else said hopefully we won’t ever find out because it would be a boring game.

Wouldn't we just start playing monopoly with ecclesiastical miniatures instead of guardsmen and spacemarines?

Or gene bred giant's in overalls and hard hats as they all start work in the construction industry.

if the 1% chance that humans would actually destroy the other races. Then humans would fight themselves. space marine vs guard, chapter vs chapter, regiment vs regiment. Their would always be war until all life is destroyed.

I have to say I disagree. I see the only three races that can take over the universe as the Imperium, the Tau, and the Tyranids. Maybe the Orks. With current up to date fluff I love Necrons but their new fluff has them as even more disconnected and therefor not able to beat a unified race. Eldar aren't, again, unified enough. Dark Eldar are well come on really? Tau don't have no shot since they have grown a lot in the new Codex as far as the fluff says their power goes. They are the race that is escalating the most technologically. The Imperium and Necrons still more advanced I believe but stagnant and therefor over time will become irrelevant. The unity of the Tau will be their greatest weapon and the same win the Imperium. The Tyranids are derinitely capable though I'll admit it's creeping me out thinking about it... I guess we'll never know as everything wil stay even with no advancements really.. The Imperium winning battles where it already holds ground and thats about it.

I will not correct my typos even though I edit this just to say that mwahahaha. I hope they thoroughly annoy everyone.
