During the time I watched Beasts of Wars videos, I cannot say I have fond memories of Darrell's un-boxing and assembly videos. Most of the time he made several mistakes and in general the videos seemed to be far lower quality than when the previous pesenter was around.

I like him enough from BoW to pledge £5. Could be cool if done right.

Ugh... there's like, no effort put into the video or the text... it's obviously going to be cancelled / has no chance of succeeding. "Half-hearted" doesn't describe this attempt... it's like... "1% hearted".

I like Darrell, but do we need another BoW? I find their content to be lackluster, too much focus on cheese tactics.

I actually never liked him when he was on the BoW video's, however he might be a nice guy irl?

Yeah I'm not seeing any incentive to give money. There are plenty of blogs/podcasts that had to earn their following one persona at a time and after they developed a following went out and found advertisers. They didn't justs ask for free money.

Seriously that is a terrible video, and indicative of how well thought out this idea was in that he had to cut a bit out due to waffling (Only a real Video boffin would have noticed the editing, its that subtle)

This sounds like another great Kick starter.

From what I hear he has lots of other ideas to add to the content already shown,

After a decent amount of backers im sure he will give us some more detail.

QFT. I particularly liked the depth of thought that had gone into the design of the site, the format, the episodes, and the nice tight list of games he was targeting. I thought the name and logo of the new show were really quite witty.

Wow. That sure is a video of a guy standing in a room talking to a camera with an onboard microphone. One of the sadder Kickstarters I've seen.

I have nothing against the guy but I don't really feel the need to hear 'bog-standard' more often in my life at the moment lol. Good luck to him but this seems a bit half hearted at best.

Purely a vanity KS. YouTube have many fine examples of what he'd like to do for free.

I can tell you one problem he might have is that he has backed no projects, which is often something people who use KS look at when someone is are asking for money. I'm not saying it is a deal breaker, but it doesn't help.

Who on earth would give this man money to hear him talk about games? I mean, I can tell his mum has put a tenner in, but I somehow doubt he'll even hit a hundred, let alone twenty grand.

Title card is plain white text on a black background. Sound quality is terrible. He even draws attention to this, saying, "Don't worry, the finished product will be better quality." Show, don't tell. Show us what the finished product would be like.

I like Darrell, but he shouldn't be alone on camera. He really needs a partner, someone with a higher energy level (like, uh... that other guy from BoW. Warren? I liked their videos together.) so he can play counterpoint/straight man.

I have to agree, though, he has gotten rules and info wrong on occasion, sometimes when working from memory, sometimes when looking directly at a rulebook. You have to rehearse! If you are on camera, in the middle of a review of a game system or book, it shouldn't literally be the first time you have read the book.
