So I'm about to start a project to create all three chambers militant of the Inquisition. Sisters are going to have to wait, as I just cannot stand the models, and I have 2500 pts of gk ready to go.

But I'm a little nervous about the Deathwatch. I plan to use the vanilla SM codex, but to be honest, I don't really know a lot about their war gear fluff or any restrictions. I understand the color scheme including leaving one of the shoulder pads as the original chapter colors, but d they have a regular contingent of termis? Do they have specific vehicles that they do or do not use?

Thanks for any advice.

I believe the Deathwatch 1st Company vets sometimes use terminator suits. As for vehicles, I haven't heard anything about the Deathwatch not using anything specific because of chapter edicts.

On Nimbosa, cramming as many guardsmen into troop carriers as possible.

An idea for the army, use tons of sternguard for elites, and scouts for troops, maybe take a dreadnaught as well. Tac squad would be difficult to justify, maybe say that they have ran out of special ammo. You could easily get away with land speeder storm, devastators would be good.

Deathwatch don't have a 1st company. They aren't a chapter in the same way other chapters are. Their organisation differs depending on who's interpretation you use, GW's or FFGs.

The Deathwatch do use terminator armour. But because the deathwatch don't operate in the same way other chapters do you don't have a force made up of various squads. A full DW force is more likely to be 15 - 20 marines at most attached to a larger battle group or sent out on their own.
