Some what. I was going to just strait out copy the look, but then they looked a bit bland. SO I added some colors and so far Im loving them. Ive started a thread about them in the DCM forums, but I wanted to open one here for everyone else as well as some Facebook friends to see what Im up to with these guys. SO! Without further ado, what Ive got so far.

(I need some ideas on his trench coat colors. Im THINKING of going with the red from the camo as its main color, but possibly a little darker/deeper in the reds. With the trim being grey and so on, so basically the camo but with the colors flopped)

I'm big fan of FO3, so a Talon company army i can get behind. I'm really digging the camo.
Since the armour is dark grey i think a dark red for the commanders coat with grey trim would probably suit the scheme quite nicely.

Im really starting to rock on these guys. Kindda making me get off my ass and get around to assembling the other guardsmen Ive got sitting around Anywho, a few touch ups, like belts and such, and then the bases and these 5 Guardsmen that could, will be done. Just imagine a huge army full of these guys

Today Im in the process of painting the bases and finishing the very few touchups on these 5 duders. I also did a little work to Commander "Iron Guts" Hearst as well. My oldest brother mentioned his PF has Sgts stripes on the forearm and sooo that annoyed me a bit and couldnt believe that I missed that So I shaved that off, and while I was at it, I added a little flare to the PF as well, to make it a bit more....badass looking.

Anywho, here he is currently. Im going to repaint his camo when I get to painting the rest of this mini. I just dont like how it turned out. It looks rushed.

Think Im going to give Commander Hearst some paint brush loving today. Its supposed to rain and just be generally poopy today. So thats on my paint list to due, how about everyone else out there!?

Oki doki. Did some work on Commander Hearst. I think hes looking pretty decent so far, I like the direction Im heading with him so far. I even think I have the idea for painting his PF as well. Problem though. While painting his coat, I discovered this weird.....pot mark or something on the side of his head. I never noticed it before, and looking through the previous pics of him.....I dont notice it either. Not sure WTH happened, but now I get to redue his fracking head, so Im a bit annoyed with that

I like the red coat, the red was a good choice. Shame about the strange thingy on his noggin. Any chance you could turn it into a battle wound like a laser burn or something?

Dudeski! freakin' cool IG love Iron Guts lol! and the red coat is perfect for him, i'd give it some gold brocade or trim to signify his rank? and the red lasguns are something very different and suit the scheme nicely.

I would definitely try your hand at some stubble! where in the thick of battle would they be able to shave? "Oh hold on a second Mr Thraka, it's 8:28 I need to break for my shave now.... see you in ten bro" nah! not gonna happen is it! just grab your base flesh colour and mix a teeny bit of black into it, water it down and do multiple light thin coats and you're set, should only take a couple of minutes to do :-)

For the hole in the head, maybe you could add a small GS cyborg implant to fill it in... make a feature of it.

I shall be watching.

Also a big a FO fan, FO3 being a favourite of mine. Looking good, I like how you've made their fabric more interesting with the red. The hole in the head could be him turning into a ghoul!
Would be cool to see some super mutant ogryns with sickly yellow skin. Looking forward to more, whatever you decide to do.

Thanks for all the compliments so far everyone! Im not going to add any crazy robo wizardry to Commander Hearst, I think Ill be able to just strip his head and start over. It LOOKS like some crazy paint fluke or something. If not... Im pretty sure I have another one of those heads in a bag somewhere.


Its kind of a poopy day outside, but Im not sure if Im going to work on my Guard, because the Necromunda bug hit me, and I started work on a Goliath gang yesterday for giggles. So Ill probably post some pics of where I am at with those as well.

Alreedy righty! I did some work on my fledgling Goliath Gang as yet un named. Im going to paint the grenade launcher ganger as a black fellow. Partly because I LOVED the Demoman in TF2 and because movies always make the black guy a demo expert. So naturally it makes sense.

hey guys and gals just doing a simple update.I did some more painting on the necromunda gang yesterday. I got the skin colors down and I painted camouflage on the pants. I also started work on the weapons. I'll be posting pictures later, as soon as I stop being lazy. So until then keep your paint brushes moist.
