Best point for point special weapon in the game? thoughts?

We've had a few 'Best unit in the game' threads recently and got me thinking about special weapon upgrades.

Can be any special upgrade weapon a unit can take that, you feel, outweighs its cost in power.

After last nights game and a lot of my recent games I would say the humble Flamer is a strong contender. The fact it does almost guarunteed damage in overwatch is a major bonus, ignores cover and is dirt cheap; enabling you to field them en masse and almost always recoup the points cost you paid for them makes it very powerful.

So what's the best special weapon upgrade in the game and why?

Necron Warscythe.
S7 AP2 Armourbane, not unwieldy. And only 10pts. Never leave the tomb without it.

Never really had much success with flamers (Until last Saturday when I wiped a FW squad off the face of the earth in one round with a dual-HF Dread

)

The second plasma gun bought in a grey hunter squad. Str7 Ap2 Rapid fire - 0pts.

Melta, 5 points for a weapon that can reliably take down a land raider.
or
Conversion beamer, 20 points for by far the scariest weapon in the SM arsenal, Gunlines beware.

MSS, 15pts and your 200+ pts HQ just punched himself in the face with his epic legendary power fist.

I think the new Tau Neuroweb thingy is a decent contender. 3 points (or is it 2?) an you can apply gets hot to whole squads. Likely to cause problems to all sorts of Guard, Ork, Tyranid and Eldar units.

Hmm They are aces. But I would count them as wargear rather than a weapon. got a favourite wep?

15pts and I get to use my opponent's x pts special weapon on him, that's a "special" weapon of its own!

Hmm... Don't wanna comment on other codices, so I still won't be exactly on topic, as this will be more "best point for point special weapon in the codices I played", sorry, but:

Another vote for warscythe, much as I love my DE, warscythe is just so cheap and efficient as an AP2 CCW, could even be 0pts on some HQs!

Melta guns and heavy bolters gets my vote, since almost all the armies I face either bringhordes of t shirt save footsloggers, or armour

My vote goes to the Psycannon on a Troop GK Terminator squad. 20 points, shoots 4 times at full BS when moving (excluding snap shots), and it can literally kill anything in the game.

Toxin sacs on anything Tyranid. 1 to 10 points, always worth it.

The Psycannon on a strike squad/purifiers is no weak sauce either. For 10 points, you too can have your very own 24" bad touch zone.

Its so cheap I can think of literally no reason not to take it.

Bonesword and lash whip. 15points for a weapon that ignores armour feel no pain causes instant death on LD test and makes you strike at I1

Only 10 points for that beast of a melee weapon, add MSS and a few other things and a Necron Lord can become a melee powerhouse

Warscythes, etc are definately good shouts, but just to throw another option in here how about the Missile Launchers on Long Fangs. 10pts for those things on models that are already only 15pts.

3 points for a 12" fleshbane S9 AP- weapon that can also be used in melee with the same profile. Singing spear is beast.

warsythes are ap1 i thought. Axe of blind fury or rage is awesome.
