Which Eldar Craftworld has the best colour scheme that will look very striking on the table?
I am starting Eldar and will be collecting my codex and some other goodies like the new awesome wraithkinght tomorrow.
However, I am still stuck on choosing a colour scheme - I personally like Iyanden, Saim Hann and a custom one I made...

If you chose the custom colour scheme post it via pictures or using this link

Thanks

Eh? Pink?! That's a funny way of spelling blue.
I voted Iyanden too, but that's largely personal bias. Biel-tan certainly has a very distinctive unique style.

the Mymeara paintscheme is my fav. I may re-do all my Eldar in it.

I like Biel Tan because you can paint cool vines all over eveything. Also, shading of the green looks cool next to the white.

I voted Iyanden as I have painted a few Eldar schemes and they look the best and are the most fun to paint. Alaitoc would be my 2nd choice.

Make a custom one! Plenty of room in the fluff for more Craftworlds floating around somewhere in the galaxy. If you really want striking, nothing's better than something nobody's seen before. My Craftworld colors are purple and silver, looks really different from most other things on the table. Just pick two or three colors you think would look good together, and go to town.

Ulthwe looks the best, although it also looks the least Eldar-y. Bright, garish colors are usually the hallmark of the army, frequently in clashing combinations. It's all very elven. I think that the Ulthwe scheme is the most pleasing to my eye, although if you actually like the way the Eldar aesthetic goes, then some of the others are probably more closely in line with that.

Honestly ether go Saim-Hann since GW loves this army color scheme but keep the aspect colors together.

Or this is how I made mine I took two of my favorite colors and combined them then painted my army that way [modeling tip want awesome guns paint the guns wraithbone white so your weapons look like they are made of wraithbone!!!!]

I was thinking of perhaps purply black with freehanded stars and galaxies swirling on the armour. Spot colours will be gold, silver and green

Its because ordinance is still a word.
However, firing ordinance at someone isn't nearly as threatening as firing ordnance at someone.
Ordinance is a local law, or bill, or other form of legislation.
Ordnance is high caliber explosives.

Don't drown the enemy in legislation, drown them in explosives.

I'd say go with one of the more esoteric craftworlds, such as

Altansar
Yme-Loc
Iybraesil
Lugganath

The last two even have transfers on the sheets in the new kits!

Honestly it would be nice to see some more of the underrepresented craftworlds (though Mymaera's colour scheme is pwerdy )

Ulthwé Eldar 2.5k points and growing!

Its has been decided guys:
I have chosen Hive Fleet Krak... wait wrong topic

I have chosen the Mymaera craftworld purely based on aesthetics alone, shortly followed up by Biel-Tan and Iyanden.

Reasons why I did not choose biel tan: painting white at a consistent level

reasons why i did not chose iyanden: i want a flexible fluff army - not all ghost warriors - though the new wraith stuff are cool.

Thanks again guys so much - I shall be doing a blog later on to show how I get on.

I know this isn't about Best looking craftworld but it is about colours...
Are striking scorpions always painted in green?
Or is that just the craftworld?

I'm sorry this is a thread nechromance but I just figured you know? I mean, YOLO right?
... Not doing that again...

You can create a new thread

And you can paint models however you want. Green is the "standard" colour for them, but grey is also seen. Different temples will have their own slightly different styles as well.

Aspects usually have their own scheme, but can merge that with their craftworld.
The new codex shows all the standard aspect ranges, with some variations.
