So here's my list I've been working hard on for an upcoming tourney.

DA with BA allies 2k

DA detachment:

Hq azrael = 215

Hq librarian = 100
Mastery level 2

Troop deathwing terminator x5 = 240
Plasma cannon
Sergeant: thunder hammer/storm shield

Troop deathwing terminator x5 = 240
Plasma cannon
Sergeant: thunder hammer/storm shield

Blood angel detachment

Hq librarian = 100

Troop death company x30 = 900
Powerfist x6
Lemartes

Elite sanguinary priest x2 + brother corbulo = 205

= 2000

Basically I have azrael give the death company a 4++ save in addition to their Fnp ones, the librarians give me a 2/3 chance to get gate of infinity and warp them across board(or better if I use corbulos ability to reroll their psychic power roll). Corbulo is an improved bullet shield especially against tau plasma, and they will wreck anything they get into combat with while the terminators hang back and hold objectives. Librarians also provide hoods for eldar defense. Azrael let's them reroll run rolls with his trait. It looks like a fun time to be had, what do you think?

I actually laughed out loud when I saw this. I'm at work haha. This is exactly why I hate the allies function in 40k. It's game-breaking, GW money-grubbing horse manure, as far as rules go. As for you though, have a ball! This looks hilarious.

Rule #1 is Look Cool.

lol it is kinda broken, but I have no flyer defense and my deathcompany doesnt score :-( But I just want it to pwn gunlines.

Well your scoring troops are functionally immune to most fliers. As long as 1 fearless DWT is left on your objective(s) it's good to go. Your Death Star is free to just kill/pillage/burn anything. Even vehicles, with all those attacks are gonna get rended. Your opponents will hate you but hopefully there's a few good sports who'll just laugh and go, "welp, this should be interesting.".....I want battle reports!

I thought lemartes could only join jump infantry death company ...If I'm wrong that lists is pretty interesting.. I agree with what everyone above has said haha.

hey thanks guys! I think I might change the list slightly, perhaps add another hammernator into each DW squad in exchange for the 2 extra priests that dont really add much. That way the opponent gets less kill points and I have harder to kill scoring units. Just ordered my last model today though so it'll probably be a month or so before a batrep (as I want to try to paint my army nicely for once).

Yeah im glad you took the 2 extra priests out you only need Corbulo as if you go to the blood angel FAQ you will find out that we do not give FNP to units that are not from the Blood angel codex. Lemartes can be in a unit without jump packs now its just that unit then cannot get into a transport unless it is a Raven. Now to the OP this list is cheesy i also don't like Allies but for just fun games sure why not. i would suggest maybe trying to find a place to fit Dante in maybe drop some Dco and give them jump packs. a 20man Squad with lemartes and dante Deep strikes in without scattering meaning you can place that bad boy right in front of them turn 2 as they also get to re roll your reserves rolls thanks to the jump packs. if a squad some how survives the 1st charge you can stay locked in during their turn and if need be use Dante's Hit n Run to get a 2nd charge as you only get your Reroll to hit n wound on the charge. maybe consider 1-2 thunder hammers too just incase of MC to make it I1

When in doubt get Mephiston out!
My rhinos go ZOOOOM!!!

I'm not sure this list is "Broken" wouldn't you just get blasted off the table against Tau?

A 31 man FNP 4++ Blob is going to be verrrrrryyyy hard to kill indeed.

especially if it can warp 24", has a 4+ psychic defense, a character out front that can tank tau plasma rifles with a 2+ fnp save AFTER his 4++ save, they're fearless too which helps. Now sure a tau battlesuit team might be able to kite me, but I could always just ignore them and kill his scoring units, especially if its a farsight bomb as it will have around 1200 points sank into one unit and will have to follow around my deathstar as my terminators can just deepstrike onto obejctives later in the game. I dunno, I think the new eldar jetbikes armies would be much harder to fight than tau.

Khorne Berzerkers wish they could achieve this level carnage, I feel bad for anything that cant out run these guys. Even guard blobs wouldn't be able drown them in bodies for long.

Save yourself 25 points and use Belial and put him with one of your DWT squads, instead of Azzy (the DWA is kinda fun to watch reactions to).

But the whole point of the list is to bring Azzy so death company get that tasty ++4

One tip: even if you're using the DW termies as objective sitters, deep-strike them on turn 1 so that you can get those sweet TL shots; that way you can re-roll those plasma cannon scatters.

Cheers.

Yea well the good old boys still hold objectives like they are winners, "at least we know how to stand on an object!".

Should have been clearer I guess, what I meant is: don't start them on the board, make sure you use the DWA rule.

Good news every1! all of the independent characters that I ordered arrived yesterday and now I can be a boss and assemble this shiz and make my deathstar fully operational!. P.S. I usually hate finecast but am extremely please with the finecast lemartes and corbulo, they are both almost one solid piece and the detail is beautiful!

Why 2 sanguinary priest? Don't they provide FNP benefits only for Codex:BA models?

Unfortunately, it's only BA units. Read the FAQ.

Yes but if you guys read the earlier post you would see that I removed the 2 priests and threw in 2 hammernators, 1 for each of the DW termy squads. Alternatively I've been experimenting in removing the priests and turning one librarian into a DA chapter master with a superfluous relic for some better psychic defense against eldar, and who doesnt want a death company that causes fear?

Looks like a super fun list but it is not remotely "broken".

It is the definition of a deathstar list and the unit cannot charge after using gate of infinity. You will have a huge deathstar with no real ranged abilities and any time they re-position using GoI they have to wait another turn to charge the enemy. If you face any skimmer spam, flying bakery, or flying circus lists you will be in trouble.

Additionally most gunlines will have at least 5 throw away/tarpitting squads they can use to absorb the maximum 6 charges you can do with your deathstar. You will totally annihilate anything you get into CC with but many armies can focus on your very tiny remaining forces and remove them in 2-3 turns.

If you face a grey knights list make sure you are careful about using GoI as they will snipe Azreal out with a vindicare and then leave you only a coteaz welcome party to DS into.

hey that's a really good point you have there sir, I mainly created this army just to tank stuff. Luckily with a vindicare and any sniper I can still do look out sir rolls, let us not forget that azrael has a built in 6+ fnp roll as well making him slightly tougher against sniper weapons as well. The other thing I have to be careful about but I can see being very helpful is that the unit is massive obviously so I can actually not get that close, and just circle round the bodies while using GoI and still get really close. 30+ models is hard to deepstrike!

Vindicare wounds cannot be reassigned with LoS. (FAQ)

Yeah DSing anything beyond 10 models is extremely hard. I would probably drop the DA libby and trimming some upgrades to get some form of long range anti tank or drop anti tank to deal with those pesky fast movers.

Note that Azzy can select the rapid maneuver trait which can help get your death company where you need it. Still going to be a bit of a pain to get it where you want it.

I came up with a very similiar Deathstar-list when Azrael came out and recommended it to my Blood Angels friends. They giggled too.

None have done it in a competitive environment, because as you said, unless you wipe your opponent off of the board you will win few games.
