So, this is the largest mini that I've painted. At least that I've completed- and that includes minis that weren't originally meant to be minis like some of those dragons I got from the Asian gift store.

Yep, Armorcast made some big minis back in the day. So, we couldn't really fit this bad boy into the light box like normal to photograph him, so we ended up with some odd angles.

The head is interchangeable. Actually, none of this mini was glued together when we sent him off (I mean, there's just no way to ship a bad boy like this otherwise).

Wow, you've really done that justice! Great job adding a lot of interest and detail to the large empty areas on the model without it looking 'too much'. That takes a lot of skill.

Wow...I'm not the biggest Eldar fan in the world, but I love that thing. The freehand work really sets it off in a big way.

Err...I guess it's not an Eldar (but it looks like one!) according to what you wrote it's an Armorcast model...I posted too fast.

Brilliant work! The star fields look perfect on this Eldar titan and definitely utilize the open spaces on the model in a gorgeous manner. I am sure your client is thrilled.

Is the Garden Ninja logo about the same size as an infantry model in the second photo? I recall these Armorcast Eldar titans being extremely tall but I am trying to get a sense of scale.

Do you mind sharing how many hours this project took you?

It's Eldar. Back in the day, Armorcast had a license to produce 40K large models.

I fear the photos are not showing just how awesome this thing is! The relationship between the star-field areas and the gold edges is amazing, the combination of celestial attractiveness and menace is perfect and exuded in the painting.

This guy is huge. Right now I'm going from memory (and remember I didn't have him assembled when I was working on him). I think he's about two feet tall- maybe just a touch less.

If I remember right, this guy took me about 24 hours to paint. By that I mean actually painting time sitting down, so about three eight-hour days.

To be fair, these old armorcast titans are basically just up-scaled epic minis. They didn't really add details that weren't in their epic counterparts.

And that was the first wave of epic, so they weren't even as detailed as the later (more detailed) epic minis.

In a lot of ways, though, there is a charm to having all of that blank space to work with.
