Finally got it finished, and finally decided to paint crew seperate for once, and it paid off straight away.
Just need to find a way of painting to tabletop standard, but alot quicker as this was done over the course of a week.

And thats it finished and on to the next skaven unit.
Really was tempted to change the colour of the wood in places to try and break it up a bit, but didnt want it too stand out too much as i cant the gun and the crew to grab attention, not the framework.
C&C appreciated as allways

I love it. Nice effect on the warpstone, and the use of that blue really makes it "pop".

Is the blue a running theme throughout the army?

Thanks
Yea, i want to keep a blue ish theme throughout the army.
Even though skaven really dont suit uniformed colour, i think theres a way of making it work somehow

Great job on the cannon man. I just got a cannon myself and I'm looking forward/dreading the painting of it. I'm brand new to painting so I watch videos, bought the GW painting guide, look at pictures of other painting, etc... One thing I noticed on your skaven that i'm also doing with mine but is different from the GW way is that there ireally only seems to be slight bits of fur on the arms. GW would have you believe that their skin and fur are essentially the same color which is ok I guess but doesn't separate it as much as I would like. What do you think?

I agree with the arms of the Skaven, I just painted a Warpfire thrower team, and was thinking the very same thing. I think the arms lack some detail to make the skin/fur blend more natural.

I think it is a nice paint job. Keep up the great work.
