Norse Infantry (already ordered this, processing in my order status) Fomoraic Infantry beasts Fomoraic Infantry humans Norse trolls Norse hrafnmann Khthones krokodar My best guess is: Norse Infantry Not sculpted: Bareheaded Knutr, Warrior Kjartan, Armoured Hrokr Being moulded: Hrafnen Crew (Excluding the 2 converted warriors) Fomoraic Infantry beasts Not sculpted: Armoured Brunchaath, Warrior Daachuch Being moulded: Gabrax Unit (Excluding the 2 converted warriors), Praach Fomoraic Infantry humans Not sculpted: Helmed Daarkan, Warrior Tundaar, Taai- Ac Being moulded: Men of Baalor (Excluding the 2 converted warriors) Norse trolls Not sculpted: Great Axe Thorrir, cleaver Malmord Being moulded: Trolls of Norrheim (Excluding the converted warrior) Norse hrafnmann Not sculpted: Egil Dead Hand, Ravehelm Vithar Being moulded: Corpse Takers Khthones krokodar Not sculpted: Frenzied Srok, 3 of the Slaughterers, Aggrakk Being moulded: 2 of the Slaughterers Now, when things are being moulded, chances are they'll be in a position to be dispatched in the coming waves. Make sure you've got enough waves to cover the coming dispatches. Waves 7, 8 and 9 are the upcoming ones (confusingly listed in the store as One Shipment, Two Shipments and Three Shipments). They tend to do the moulding and dispatches in date order. Also, their chief moulder is going off for a few weeks for an hospital visit and they've been inundated with new orders as well so it could be a little while before any late orders are got around to. This is all a guess on my part, however. Automatically Appended Next Post: Edit: this is a rough guide to who's doing what in your list with a view on how much they have left before they can get on with the missing bits: Norse Infantry Allan Carrasco: Bareheaded Knutr He's gone a bit queit at the moment, so I suspect he's got other work on. He's got a few bits from New Kindreds and something from Monstrous mounts (But that's dependent on Roberto) Roberto Chaudon: Armoured Hrokr. Roberto is quick and ace. He's nearly done First Edition 2, then 3 models for Monstrous Mounts and then onto New Kindreds. Though he does have a pile of commissions to churn through so I am unsure on what order they'll arrive in. Stephane Simon: 2 Hrafnen Crew conversions Same as Roberto really, but he has no Monstrous Mounts conversions. Most of his New Kindred work is conversions. Fomoraic Infantry beasts Benoit Cosse: Armoured Brunchaath, Warrior Daachuch, 2 Gabrax Warriors Conversions Benoit is slower than the above, but he doesn't have much left in any previous KS. But it could be some time before he starts on these Fomoraic Infantry humans JAG: Helmed Daarkan, Warrior Tundaar They've recently re-confirmed that JAG will be working on these as well as some other New Kindreds stuff. Not sure when Benoit Cosse: Taai- Ac See above Olivier Nkweti: 2 converted Men of Baalor He's gone quiet of late and has a pile of stuff to do from the previous Kickstarters. I personally wouldn't be surprised if some of his non- CAD stuff get's reassigned if he falls behind on sculpts. Norse trolls Allan Carrasco: Great Axe Thorrir See Above Roberto Chaudon: cleaver Malmord See Above Stephane Camosseto: Trolls of Norrheim Conversion He seems to be cracking on is nearly finished Eoric's pack from the previous KS, so it's feasible he'll start the troll conversions soon Norse hrafnmann Roberto Chaudon: Egil Dead Hand See above Allan Carrasco: Ravehelm Vithar See above Khthones krokodar Benoit Cosse: 3 of the Slaughterers, Aggrakk See above Roberto Chaudon: Frenzied Srok See above

Caitrin is stacked! The Erainn infantry sculpts have all just been abso-friggin-lutely stellar! They're a definite must for me. I am however, concerned that we've seen like no progress on the tree dudes since the Jan 30 update, and I wasn't impressed with Araigh. The sculptor is new, and no apparent progress in 4 months isn't a great sign.
Does anyone have experience with their resin chain weapons? That morningstar on the Ox-Gor looks pretty fragile as does the spiked ball on the one Abhorrent. How likely are they to survive outside of a glass case?

One of my Ysian Brutes with a chain has broken repeatedly. Ended up green stuffing around his grip on it to keep it from continuing to break. He's one of those guys I just dread taking off the shelf every single time I want to check him out or use him in a game.
And I am most certainly highlording it up over that Ceffyldraig.

Not sure on Fancagne Didier. Can't find much info on what he's up to, but it's possible he did a few mierce sculpts to get a feel of what was being asked and then had a priority large commission to continue with. Good news is that most of the rest of the Erainn will be sent out I for wave 7, which is the first new Kindreds send out

For regular gaming I'd probably replace the resin chain with real chain (or arrange it so the 'ball' rests on the ground/a bit of scenery),
but they don't break just from looking at them (I got what I think is a brute chain weapon arm in my miscast bag and it hadn't snapped despirte being tossed loose in with all the other bits and rattled around in the post
As for Didier Fancagne they did say
'Didier has been updating us regularly on Araigh's progress, but the photos were a little poor so we've held off until now. These images of Araigh's, however, look great!'
(personally I loved what he'd done Araigh and it took the trees from a 'nope not interested' to a 'i'll grab them as soon as I can afford to')
so it could well be Didier is generally just not providing photographs that are worth showing to us (or that Rob thinks might actually put us off, like Benoits photos of his Gabrax seemed to do)
Looking at his facebook feed ( https://www.facebook.com/myfor?fref=ts) he doing a whole lot of stuff (so either as fast as Roberto, or he just works on a lot at once..... and that was, of course, a mistake as I now need to find money for several more minis
it could be he's running behind, or it could be Rob was unable to book him for more than a single sculpt early (& it would make sense with him being new to Darklands and the whole having to sculpt to the art to have him do a paid 'test') and them more later when he had slots free

I think he works on a ton of things at once. He just finished up an amazing new primate sculpt for his personal line.
Super personable and friendly, too. Can't recommend his stuff enough.

Looking at his Facebook, I just realized Didier Fancagne did the vast majority of the Dark Hammer sculpts from a couple years ago.
He certainly has some skills, and I think they would translate to the tree creatures, but I'd like to see some progress on them as well.

Really impressed with Araigh. Proper gnarled old tree creature. Reminds of the kind of things that were told in stories when I was young with the sinister faces in the trees. cincydooley wrote: Didier is working on them. Good to know. He's also booked in to do the Sronox and looking through his photos, I'm really impressed with his previous work. Hoping that he delivers a few more stunning pieces. I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that the Erainn are pretty much unintentionally the Darklands flagship line! And that's not an attempt to belittle the efforts of other sculptors, but it's been brought together really quickly with some amazing looking pieces. And that's before we've even seen the Jute and Atalantes as well...

No worries bud. I know it's a bit woolly, but you can sort of predict when the sculptors are due to start on New Kindreds:
Roberto Chaudon: This bloke is amazing. He's currently got 3.5 sculpts left before he hits New Kindreds. From past performance, it takes him about 2 weeks to sculpt a complete miniature from start to finish, not counting holidays. So you're looking at 6 weeks before he hits new Kindreds.
Stephanie Simon: Another brilliant sculptor in my view. He's got 10 sculpts to go through, but luckily none of them are monsters and most are human sized. He's quick as well. His past timings are harder as I think he mixes his commissions up to keep things fresh. Reckon 6-8 weeks before he hits New Kindreds
Allan Carrasco: Don't know, but he could suddenly appear, knock everything out the park in a month and that's it! He's already done that a few times with the Norse.
Benoit Cosse: He's slower than the rest and I seem to remember he has a non-sculpting business running as well, so you have to account for that. Reckon 8-10 weeks before he hits New Kindreds.
Olivier Nkweti: Complete unknown at this point. He was halfway though First Edition II and seems to have disappeared. I fear he may have been GW'ed!
JAG: Similar to Allan. You hear nothing for ages, and then BAM! Reckon he'll appear soon within the next 1-2 months, but he has had some of the Jute models booked now (Mildryth being one) last I heard so that may drag out any sculpts he has had booked previously.

Yeah, its funny. Prior to the new kindreds KS, everyone was really excited about the Erainn. There was a lot of speculation and interest in what they'd be like. People were also interested in the Atlanteans, though, I felt like we all sort of knew what to expect with them.
Upon the launch of the KS, excitement for the Atlanteans seemed to remain the same, as we got what we thought we would with them. The Erainn seemed to get a bit overshadowed by 'Jute Fever', which pretty much swept all things Mierce. I'm glad the sculpts have all come out so well on their figures, the only one I initially purchased in the KS was Nuala, which I don't regret obviously. But since, I've added Monarch (sp? the swamp beast), and I think Caitrin might join on as well. Good stuff!

The Érainn went 'doing it' for me during the campaign but seeing their infantry sculpts so far - WOW!
They're a MUST ADD for me now!
Even though I'm still not sold on the Giant Trees.
Did we already see the Monstrous Infantry Tree sculpts for them?
I can't remember...

Made me realize I've been on the verge of buying a bunch of his stuff for the last few days now. Crazy.
Didn't know he sculpted a bunch of the stuff for Myth's expansions. Looks like he's doing the snakes too for Alkemy.
Dude makes some nice reptiles. Maybe Rob will let him take a shot at some Khthon stuff in the future.
Or get that Agriosavra on his giant lizard started since it seems like Chaudon has a lot on his plate.

Maybe a possibility to work on the Lískes, the Basilisk men or Gwyferns, Wyvern men? Roberto's brilliant, but you're right in that he can't end up sculpting the entire range!

It could also possibly be that perhaps the sculpts have been finished already, but that Mierce holds on showing the progress a bit for the Friday updates. I don't believe that anyone disappears or anything as you can follow their other progress on FB and/or blogs.

Yeah, that does have ring of truth. It's a risk showing WiPs sometimes. It's possible that things are progressing behind the scenes but are undergoing a rework in some fashion and the ones we see on the Friday updates are the ones that they are happy with showing. Maybe that's why we've not heard much on Hector Moran's commissions either.

Updates!
Shadowy Stuff
The Mierce Friday is here once more! As stated previously, we are now updating you every other Friday (bi-weekly if you will) to ensure we can spend more time getting the Darklands rules done.
This week we have...
•sculpt work in progress images from Stéphane Simon;
•a list of what miniatures are currently being sent in their various waves;
• an updated list of sculptors and sculpts for this project;
...and anything else you can expect from us over the next few months.
Let's begin!
There's not much to show this week, but it's awesome all the same. Two new Shadow-Drunes from Stéphane Simon!
Stéphane's making short work of the Shadows of Carn Bran, with Gawen completed and Kitto almost there too!
Gawen
The first warrior in the unit, Gawen, is now complete!
The Shadow-Drunes have got off to a great start...!
Kitto
The dynamic Kitto is next for Stéphane and he is looking superb so far. He's nearly done too!
With Stéphane's speed, the Shadows should be done for Wave 8, we think.

We've just the one update for you this week, from Gautier Giroud...
Beb on Pig-Bog
Gautier Giroud is cracking on with Beb on Pig-Bog - he's really starting to take shape now!
Here's a scale shot...
We're hopeful that he'll be done for Wave 8!

I like Mildryth, in spite of the silly boob window. The pig thing I also like, just don't think it meshes with the Darklands gritty aesthetic. Rudraige, like all the Erainn, is the balls. I'd originally thought they would be boring dirt farmers, but all the sculpts have a great amount of character. I'll be adding them next payday.
I'm up to 6 monstrous and 3 regular infantry and yet they leave the pledge window open longer, tempting me with more. If the Atalantes had any sculpts done I'm sure I'd be adding their infantry as well.
Speaking of the Atalantes, how do they ally with Khthones. Basically they can use Khthone troops, but not the other way around, right?
