What's up guys, let me start by saying that I'm just getting started and one of my friends has decided to Dark Angels, while I have chosen Necrons. From what I can tell, Dark Angels can be a pain to deal with. Now, I don't have all of this stuff, so I wouldn't be able to tell you how it runs, I just want an idea of stuff I should be getting to contest with his army. I know that he plans on taking Belial with TH for his HQ at least, with 10 Terminators. There's other stuff too, but since we're just getting started he doesn't have a lot of the big stuff. Anyway, I'm just gonna plan ahead and throw down a 2000 point army so I could look forward to getting all of this stuff later.

If you really are just building to fight a deathwing, then I would do 3 units of 3 heavy destroyers.. couple of lancteks and those stalkers. 13 TL s9 ap2 shots are wounding on 2s. 9 of the shots have preferred enemy so reroll on ones.. that's a lot of high end power into a deathwing.. after two rounds of shooting it will be termie death piles

Couple of general points below:

a) Lords or Overlords. Standard, they come with a 3+ save, so are basically toast in CC (as they are characters). Always take Weave + Mindshackle Scarabs + Warscythe. If you are going to take an orb, you definitely need at least weave and MSS (because you are hoping that MSS will take the place of the invul save you don't have).

b) ResOrbs. Use in max units only (or really expensive ones). In a unit of 10 warriors I definitely wouldn't bother because if you get 10 warriors in CC - you will lose. You'll probably get swept (yay for I2).

c) Deathmarks. It's really nice to have 2+ wounding, but by adding the overlord, you've removed the ability to deep strike. 10 is overkill - you are better off using 2 x 5 because you can then mark 2 units instead of 1. Generally, however, they are used in small squads with a Despairtek (with Veil) because AP2 is much better when you are wounding on a 2+. Think of them generally as suicide units. Keep them small, Veil them in, kill a unit, die.

d) Ghost Arks. MUCH better way of regenerating warriors than a res orb. Keep it.

e) The Spyder looks lonely. More warriors instead.

f) Doom Scythes can be cool if they come in and you can roll high enough. Anni Barges are always cool. Swap a Scythe for 2 Anni barges (because you've dropped the spyder).
