Hey guys/gals I'm wondering if any of you have ideas on how to make a chaos conversion based on a Valkyrie that could be either a Valkyrie or a helldrake, also one that could represent either a havoc or a IG heavy weapon team, I plan to make an IG/CSM army using mostly the same models (like guardsmen being both guardsmen and cultists, and power armored lord as both a lord or iron hand straken etc.)

Isn't the heavy weapons team on a larger base? So you might need to magentize them.

The first idea that came to my mind is some small mechanical construct like a multileged/tracked gun platform not large enough to be a obliterator. Then you could use them as some form of iron warrior theme and on the loyalist side as mechanicus.

Or go full into dark mechanicus and just use different codices depending on what you want to play.

And the valkyrie could be the same. Tech it up, maybe replace the wings with heldrake wings and magnetize a flamer under or into the nose.

The Valkyrie Heldrake conversion could be done but havocs are power armoured and weapons teams are normal guardsmen just don't matches

Agrees with the above post, ig and csm are just too different to use the same models for both.

Having IG as proxies for CSM doesn't sound practical sadly, and outside of friendly games you might run into some problems with WYSIWYG

Thanks for your replies, how would you guys feel about a defiler/leman Russ, based off a defiler for fair LOS purposes, you know tank commander instead of head magnetized arms so it can use all the correct weapons etc.?

An interesting idea I have for the HWT Havocs comes from someone who did something with his BA devastators at the GW I go to.

What he did was take crouching PA legs, attached a body, head and backpack as normal with SM tank stormbolter arms (with the grips in it) and connected it to a HWS Lascannon on a 60mm base. Looked pretty sweet and might work for you.

to clarify on the Havok/HWT idea, i was thinking havok on a regular base but when changing to a HWT i would have another base (HWT base) with a cultist loader and drill out a 25mm hole where i could place the havok base... Just an idea
