So this game looks pretty cool.

So I hear things are pretty well balanced, so can I play on purely aesthetic grounds? Which faction has the most non-cheesecake femaleminis? Islam one looked good, and those new girl wwerewolf look pretty good.

Yes, when you learned the mechanics, you´ll be able playing mostly what minis you like. Of course there are some things you should use or become handy but you won´t need them if you don´t like. Haqislam has a lot of non cheescake girls and Nomad got them, too even if Nomad also has some cheeskae girls in their lines...

You could use the current Mercs rules(Not to be confused with the coming Mercenary Faction) to choose from up to, I believe, 3 different factions. You are greatly reduced in what quantities you can take and it's not tournament legal but it's an option.

I have a slightly cheesecakey Nomad, Bakunin force in the works right now, link in my signature below. What I did was convert or proxy some females to serve as different unit types. It's not an easy option but it's my preferred option.

Non ITS compatible Mercenaries can take up to three factions + mercs and choose from them with lower AVAs.

Well good to know that's an option. But single faction wise, the ones with the most, but least cheesecake models (I don't mind a minority of cheesecake) would be who?

You're best just going to the Corvus belli site and checking out the gallery. Every faction does have a cheesecake element in there somewhere, obviously some more than others. I agree that haqqislam possibly have less than others perhaps but they still have one or two. Same with ariadna. You could probably play most factions and comfortably avoid cheesecake.

Also Nomad bot list. Or pretty much any bot list is a quite safe bet.

Yeh, most of the forces could work for you. Bakunin is considered the most cheesecake but I think you can work around it easily enough if you wanted to. The main problem is that cheesecake doesn't have a standard definition, it's very much a definition that changes person to person. For instance, I think 99% of Infinity females are cheesecake but some more than others. I also see that a positive rather than a negative, as long as it's artisticly intended I'm happy. So what do you consider cheesecake?

The best thing to do, as stated, is check out the miniature gallery which is sorted by faction. I think you'll find that Nomads have more female options available to them because of the Order of the Knife but maybe that's all too cheesecake for you.

Combined Army pretty much has no cheesecake primarily because they're aliens and The Cheesecake Factory refuses to serve them.

Haqqislam and Yu Jing tend to have the least 'cheesecake' female models in general.

Nomads and Aleph have the most.

This is why I went with Haqqislam (on top of the amazing Hawwa sniper). It's got its share of aesthetically pleasing female models, some of which are doing the anime 'strike a pose' thing, but it's very devoid of outright cheesecake. They had the perfect opportunity with the Odalisques and didn't take it. The only model I can think of off the top of my head that was done specifically cheesecake was the female Kum rider sticking her ass in the air.

Another vote for Haqqislam (Al Hawwa Sniper, Hassassin Fiday with Boarding Shotgun, Ghulam Infantry girl, Tuareg Sniper, Hassassin Muyib Spitfire, Halqa girl, Djanbazan Hacker, Bashi Bazouk with Boarding Shotgun just on the top of my head).

If not for sectorials, I'd have probably gone with Haqqislam for this very reason. Fortunately, as bad as Nomads can be, Corregidor left pretty much all the cheesecake to Bakunin.

I think a lot depends on how you paint it. Yes some figs can't escape it but if you don't paint certain areas as skin it should be fine. You can eve do minor conversions.

Nomads are the easiest to make a female list because at least two troop types are All female and are even linkable. The Morias, and the Riot Grrls.

So list building then, can you build a decent Haqqislam list with just their female figures? I see some ok figs in the Ariadna section too, bit of a three way battle going on. Any word on the feasibility of an all girl list and how they might play?

You could proxy a bit. Like using the female Halqa as a Ghulam. A Naffatun looks a bit like a Muyib. The Djanbazan hacker doesn't need to be a hacker.

Unless you mean simply based on what female models are available for making a complete list, which is going to get tough. Like, for Haqqislam, here's a 200pt list I threw together with female models off the top of my head:

Naffatun - Heavy Flamer/Rifle (female from the blister pack)
Naffatun - Heavy Flamer/Rifle (female from the starter)
Ghulam Lt - (female from the blister pack/starter)
Ghulam - Doctor (old one from the blister pack/new one from the support box)
Muyib - Spitfire (from the Muyib box set)
Odalisque - Spitfire (from the box set)
Odalisque - Rifle (from the box set)
Hassassin Lasiq - Viral Sniper (blister pack)
Al Hawwa - Sniper Rifle (blister pack)

Seems like an okay 200pt list. Your Lt is fairly obvious, but you have a doctor, and the Lt shouldn't be getting into the line of fire anyway. A pair of Naffatun for cheerleaders/backup fighters. Two Spitfires which is handy - one on the Muyib has an X-Visor which makes it irritatingly accurate, and the Odalisque is super durable, plus another durable Odalisque with a rifle. Two Snipers, mostly because I couldn't find another special weapon on a female model to fit in, but two Snipers can be handy, especially when one is the Lasiq Sniper, and the other has mines.

The biggest problem you'll have is you'll end up with a lot of spare models you obviously don't want, unless Shae-Konnit can get you some good individual orders.

Thanks, that looks good. No problem with using male models too, just wanted to know if it could be done. Can a similar list be done with Ariadna or Nomads?

With this one I would swap the Heavey flame throwers with a lighter version, that way you can also assign a Naffatun Lt. NO ONE EXPECTS A NAFFATUN LT. I'll gladly pay some shaved off weapon damage for an Lt. shellgame, but that's just me.

My all female Bakunin list is made by proxying and converting miniatures. If you're prepared to do that absolutely any list is feasible as all female.
