focusedfire wrote:Yes, this IS 40k armies.
Nice he got it, finally.

Now if you continue with this paranoid everyone is out to vote purely against you attitude then your credibility will be nil.
Not everyone, a specific person here we both know is.
I still don't see a reason to do so.

This is a game that is about keeping your preffered armies around as long as possible. If nobody had a preference then there would be no point to the game.
If some fellow posters could base their votes on this I wouldn't complain.
Sadly we have a crappy "cold war" in this thread, since 2 persons can't accept variety.
This needs almost 1 supporter per
40k faction to run at cruising speed.

Because some armies come in with a statistcal advantage some players will focus upon that threat, like what is occuring currently. Yet you complain when this same strategy is employed against the IoM armies. My reply to your complaints on this subject are Suck it up. Defend your favorite armies and don't whine when a tactic that you would use is used against your favorite armies.
Didn't whine. Maybe badly worded posts.
And as you admitted , its
40k armies, not
40k factions/races/posters.
Maybe remember your own words?
Plus any advantage has to be pointed out to John, as he is in charge of the basic entries .

I freely admit that when the game started that my first objective was to remove the threat of the
SM's. Now here is an idea,

Instead of complaining about it like........ it's personal, maybe you should just take it as the compliment to the
SM armies that it is.

The issues is, you always attack the space marines and the
IoM as a whole and not any specific armies of the
IoM.
So why should a personal vendetta of yours be a compliment?
focusedfire wrote:
No preference until someone started pounding one of my preffered armies. You declare war on my armies I declare war on yours.

Too bad , YOu were warned but ignored it. Getting hit when one retaliates isn't a surprise, isn't it?
focusedfire wrote:
Now your dislike for the Xenos and constant double standards that you insist on trying to push into the games and polls is getting a little silly at this point. You argue that the SM's and IG are under represented in this game while complaining that the SM's were over represented in the polls. Which is it? Do you want the armies combined or seperated?
I do not have double standards.
So what youre talking about here?
This thread? Another thread?
My person ?
I'll answer the representation in my reply to john.
focusedfire wrote: It doesn't matter if its
SM's, Inquisition, or the
IG if you play one of those armies and another one wins instead you will still share in the victory against the Xenos Scum

Looking at your first statement here, i must wonder.
Is it preferred personal army now or general "side" in
40k terms or preferred army of myself and any friend ?
Maybe all 3?
Should reduce the attempts on fluffy posts if they get me this.....

I find it amazing that the Imperial armies aren't winning every game, maybe these armies aren't as popular as
GW claims.

Maybe the
GW corporate attitude of favoritism for the
SM's and
IG is why their sales are bad. Maybe a good corporation would use an independent company to poll their existing customer base on a regular basis in order to be responsive to the needs of these customers and the direction of their market.
The wrong thread for this.
And no, the imperial armies aren't meant to win, they are there to provide a human army to a human audience.

If you all of the way back to page 1, the starting numbers were:
- 70 CHAOS
- 80 ELDAR
- 200 IMPERIALs (Guard + Inq + SM)
- 30 NECRONs
- 60 ORKz
- 30 TAU
- 40 TYRANIDs
Imperials started out with a *HUGE* advantage over any other faction. I guarantee that SS4 won't spot the Imperials anywhere near as large of a lead.
Advantage?
Maybe split them as armies, as armies is the theme of this thread?
But i agree, we need less
IoM and more orks and nids.
Orks and nids vastly outnumber eldar and still those got the second largest pool of wounds.
If your point is wounds, yes reduce
IoM but boost the real common armies.
Maybe less entries could help too as its not funny to post from a mobile device and scroll that much.

Look at actual finishes:
40k Armies
1st Imperial Guard
2nd Eldar
3rd Orks
40k Armies SS1
1st Black Templars
2nd Blood Angels
3rd Dark Angels
SS1 was *entirely* Imperials at the end: 5 Guard (44), 3 Inquisition (25), 4 Marines (39)
40k Armies SS2
1st Eldar Exodites
2nd Tallarn Guard
3rd Dark Eldar
Imperials have placed first or second *every* time, with a clean sweep in SS1. *Clearly*, Imperials are hurting in these games...
SS1 had a lot of participants. Maybe a more balanced thread.
Things changed afterwards....
SS2 was a bit slow, but i assumed you liked the outcome.
Shouldnt
DE and exodites as finalists hint on a trend to have the least hated army last?

I'll share what i did collect till now of SS3.
