Sounds good sir. I was thinking something along those lines but I am at a bit of a loss as to what I will take as a troop choice. I wanted to take a unit of terminators with Anval Thawn, but that leaves me without a second troop choice. I like the standard termis but they are a little squishey and I dont like putting all my eggs in one basket so to speak.

Trust me, Crowe with 4+ MSU Purifier squads in Rhinos is a very competetive force. Just add in whatever else you please, although Psyriflemen Dreads are virtually a necessity. Draigo and Paladins do take my fancy, but instead another very attractive tank unit is a GKGM with Rad 'nades (and one or two more trimmings.. anything over 210 is really pushing it to the point you may as well just take Draigo though) accompanied by ten Terminators DSing with the help of the GKGM's servo skulls. Alternatively, a GKGM and 5 Terminators in a LR (or LRC/R) is very sexy, especially a Crusader or Redeemer with Psybolt - Psybolt Asscans are more effective for taking out armor than even Lascannons and are also deadly against infantry.

Believe me though, 2, 3 or even 4 or more Rhino gunboats pumping out between four and eight Psycannon shots a turn are terrifyingly devastating, especially against small, lightly-armoured units - Nobs, Guard etc. Rending helps dish out a decent amount of casualties against Meq and Teq as well though.

As for WM360's request for a painted figure by page 20... I need to get paint to make that happen and I'm not sure if I'll be able to. Maybe if I get two 5 man purifier squads and a 5 man termi squad assembled by then he will be happy

Nope, must have a model fully painted by you by page 20. Also must be a ES, no pulling out some nid you painted already. Gotta start somewhere man, just pick something and go go gadget paintbrush.

There is method to my madness.

Generally, I give most people the same GK advice, as it is what I intend to use myself. One last tip for such a force; try and find an Ork player. Build up their confidence then shatter it mercilessly with your cleansing flame.

There's always Jedediah or whatever his name was from way back in the original stuff. Psyker Mastery Level 3 would be suitable for him.

The two obvious ones are:

Space Marine Librarian in Terminator Armour model, with a Nemesis Force Halberd instead of the default beatstick it comes with, as well as a GK helmet.

GK Terminator converted with lots of unnecessary cool bitz.

The Terminator Libby would be difficult to remove the head from in order to get a GKT helmet in there without damaging the surrounding wires.

It's been done before.

I know it has been done before to great effect but, given my lack of skills I don't think it would be worth losing the figure I think I'll look through my bits and GK termis and see of I can figure a way to make one. I think i have some guitar strings around here somewhere...

Oh and I picked up some paints at my FLGS. Odd part is that it was pitch black in there due to some power outages in the area so I only got 2 of the three I wanted.

As I'm sitting here at the jobsite wishing my hardhat didn't dig into my head so much, I'm thinking that though I will not meet WM360's pg 20 deadline I have managed to connect paintbrush to GK for some base coating. Also I have assembled 7 of 10 purifiers and the 4 remaining GK termies. Maybe tonight I will get some more painting in.

Maybe you can get it in on page 20? I'll still call that a pass

A bit late, but for the Librarian, I've had my eye on the RedScorp guy in FW... I'm not fond of the Termi look, so I'm doing him in "artificer" counts-as Termi armor on the appropriate base size... and yes... painting would be very nice...
