Oh, I made sure my paperwork said "no fault termination" before I signed it! I learned that lesson a long time ago!- you don't need new paints, the ones you already have will work, just thin them!

They refused to change it, and I refused to sign. Doesn't stop the wheels from churning on. I just got the paperwork for the trial date next Wednesday at 2pm. It's by phone so no two hour drive to the capital , waiting or paperwork from my employer that I requested last week, it will show my case clearly.

The other bummer today was my wife was passed over for two of the three open positions. The third they called all the interviewees (not my wife), but one of her friends in the office said that she WAS supposed to get a call. We'll see tomorrow, when the interviews are to happen if they call her or not. Fingers crossed and more than a few prayers as well.

When you start riveting, sometimes you just can't stop.

Pier 2.0 has reworked plumbing, used two different sized rods this time cutting one tube into 1/8" collars for joints. Waste pipe at the bottom will be drilled out. I'm thinking about placing plasticard on the sides and back of these piers, and just have this be the front. Might use a few of these to be the front of the arbites precinct.

While I was riveting I figured might as well do some other terrain decorating, so the gate got rivets as well.


That nice stack of rivets is about three times that size now, even after fixin these plates. I tried scraping all the rivets into a small ziplock yep Baggie, but began to look out the basement window when I heard a police car go by. My mind instantly though I was getting busted. He's a man alone in he basement at 10:30pm, sitting in front of a table using a piece o plastic to drag a line of fine white particles across a cutting pad into a small clear Baggie. It might of been the fumes from he glue bottle that was still open causing me o think this though.

Moral of the story, if our cutting plastic crack in your basement late at night, make sure your glue bottle is closed, or the glue might dry out.

I'm disappointed, shangrila looks like my basement, but in a way there's plasticard, glue and miniatures, it could be heaven.

Finished making the second of these towers, so I think I'll use them for the front of a building. Should it be: an adeptus arbites precinct house, an outpost for my marine chapter the Theophony, or the meeting hall for the League of Extraordinary Riveters? The adeptus mechanicus need not apply, unless they give a Titan cohort as a tithe , then they can have it.

Front wall, middle two sections shall become the doorway to the sanctuary.


If I make operable doors, then this would give me space for smaller tanks, vehicles to make it in and out.

It would need to be wider for a land raider with side sponsons.

Riveting done on the sides of both columns now. need to find a good screen and keyboard for walk up "guests to ring and announce themselves. also have some ideas for lights.


Little bit of bridge work. I didn't want to mount it down to the ground yet, but it is now glued in place, so is the support pier.

Pistons work holding the bridge up straight and even at an angle.

@shaso Very true, it still wields me out all the people who are talking to themselves in public, carrying on conversations, and not all of them have Bluetooth headsets. It's a personal quirk of mine, but I don't even use speaker phone unless absolutely necessary, or I'm sitting waiting for the next available operator. It's just too impersonal. I mean if you can't devote the attention to having a conversation to me by holding the phone, then I must not be important enough. Drives me nuts when my wife answers the phone while driving, she pays more attention to the phone than the road sometimes .

@dave, no problem sir, meant to do it the previous week, but the kids were sick. This was the last week for their gymnastics class for a while, so it was a quick stop without going out of the way.

@vik, our uniforms will be blue jeans and t shirts, no khaki smell here . This will also help our roster numbers since it is the casual look and people who aren't members of our revolution will easily be mistaken for the cause.

Hell I dont even have a cell phone. Beat that! I get a kick out of the people that will try to text my landline

@kingcracker, thanks, steal them as I have stolen most of the ideas and changed them to fit my needs. I never wanted a cell phone, but my wife got me to get one. Now it's like a very expensive game boy for me. The only good thing about it is I can check dakkadakka when I'm out and about. I think it has more capabilities than my old desktop computer as well.

Supply drop, cause I couldn't help myself. After seeing it at the discount store and hinting $29.99 not bad, a look on ebay got me one or $.95 plus shipping. Woot half price, came in good shape though the box was trashed.

When he bridge lowers down it trips the crossing guard bar causing it to raise up allowing people across. The little handcrank on the right side raises and lowers the bridge.

The visitor side of the bridge is just higher than one bulkhead, so I'll have to sort that out, the home team side has lots of neat bits.

Speaking of bits, while unboxing the bridge I realized how much good stuff I've been throwing away over the years. In the foreground you can see the plastic bars that hold the toy in place in the box, and also the wire ties they use to tie them. Power cables and scrap bits. I think babies have a lot more smarts then we give em credit for. Babies get their Christmas presents and play with he boxes and wrapping paper, we wad them up and hopefully recycle them. Babies also get milk from a better source than bottles
