No firm plans on what is next POW. Probably the Plague bearers and some more Stormcast Eternals but I am also feeling the desire to do some more And Mech. I just cannot muster the desire to do Marines of any sort at the moment.

Bloody hell! I can't believe how fast you are, especially on such big impressive models as that Nurgle Daemonbeastie and then all those Plaguebearers.

I do not know why but I have always found the bigger the model the quicker I tend to paint it, which seems to be the opposite way round for most other people.

Continuing the Nurgle theme I have started work on Gutrot Spume tonight, a cracking little character model.

A bit more progress, have finished off my small Nurgle force no with Gutrot Spume getting done bar a few touch ups here and there. Apologies for the poor lighting but summer seems to have died a death here in Britain:







I also got back into my Ad Mech, my first since page 14 of this blog, with a further 5 Adeptus Mechanicus Skitarii Vanguard, these complete a unit of 10:

Damn you set the bar high

Thank you kind Sirs, the photos really do not do them justice. A bit concerned that since I set myself my challenge of painting the 226 models I have already done a tenth of them (226 divided by 10 is 22.6, and I have done 23 of them.)

Since August 21st I have done:

Dark Elf Dragon
Gutrot Spume
Orghotts Daemonspew
10 Plague bearers
5 Stormcast Eternals
5 Skitarii Vanguard.

I also feel that I have learned a fair bit in that short time thanks to watching the GW "how to paint" videos on the Maggoth Lords. I certainly feel that Orghott's is the best mini that I have ever painted which is nice that I felt like I was in a lull.

And what else have I learned? I can paint Ad Mech infantry, fast,without ccompromising the final results so I may get them
out of the way ASAP.

So onwards and, hopefully, upwards!

Looking good. Gutrot seems a pretty sweet model and looks great here. I think it's time for the army shot! Your AdMech are always great to look at, and you've got some nice poses going on those Castellans.

Nurgle guy is nice and gross.

I'm not sold on the red visor either - how about a blue screen like plasma glow.

I think you are right Swara, here are the green visors on my other Kastelan Robots, I think I will stick with this:



@Knightley, it actually a copper rather than gold but I still have quite a bit of work to do on it.

I like the green, I think it fits them nicely.

As ever a little more progress, I had no real intention to paint Captain Karlaen but it just kind of happened, a tiny head and iron halo swap on this one. He has actually inspired me to finish the 3 Terminators I have left to do as part of an assault squad, so that is a good thing:

Yep, green visors work well. Nice blood angels terminator guy

I am aware that my BA scheme is probably a bit too bright for most modern tastes but I kindof like the old fashioned red-era brightness. Will hopefully get a fair bit more done tonight too.

Doesn't really look too bright to me, just pronounced edge highlights, the rest of the red is pretty dark really. Good stuff either way
