Well, I find it odd that there's no rusty plague marines - the nearest is the Putrid Choir, who are rusty edges with crusty green. I would consider orange base, washed with smoke, and then sponged up with light grey, green and brown. I really love your take on them, though. There's a couple of pale cream factions (obviously) and even pale green but this no other obvious entropic official schemes (that I'm aware of). Decay takes many forms.

I'm always a fan of orange . Nicely done, it really makes them feel like former dockworkers or such.

@ Graven that is a great idea for the DG, kind of wish I had thought of it before I started painting mine. Army would look very striking on the tabletop.

Always confused me the Dark Eldar, I kinda liked the idea of them being space pirates, but then they are S&M space pirates, I don't really have anything against them. Just always wanted to combine the Pirate side with some Freebootas. But the whole S&M vibe doesn't really work for that. Not really looked at it in a long time mind you, so probably changed now. You know like when Necrons were Terminator, and I turn around and they are Egyptian!

@ Cam thank you, it was a fun game even if I lost. The DE player was ranked the top Harlequin player in 2017 on the tournament scene so he is always fun to play.

I too miss some of the old history of the DE and Necrons, the thought of eldar pirates was what got me playing eldar back in the day.

@ CommissarK it was a fun game, my problem was not enough long ranged weaponry.
@Gitz, sorry bud, a short synopsis: first turn DE player nullifies my stratagem that says you cannot shoot at targeted unit unless it is closest so he shoots everything he has into my pox walkers and destroys the unit. I move up and push towards the center and left side of board. In 2 turns I clear the left side but he clears the my right side. I forget to use Typhus's special ability every turn :-(, which probably cost me the game as he dishes out mortal wounds to nearby units engaged with DG units. Turn 5 I have just a few units left and he kills my warlord and we call it.
New DE will be extremely good in a good players hand, I felt I held my own till turn 3 against a great player.
@Theo, He is usually only a WAAC when it comes to tourney play, plus he always brings a well painted army. I never mind losing to someone who does that.

Glad he is a cool person to game with normally. I hate forgetting rules like that.

Finished up the Foul Blightspawn he has an interesting rule, he smells so bad that when he is near friendly units they can be charged but charger doesn’t get to strike first. Thanks for looking.

The Foul Blightspawn model is one of my favorites from the Death Guard range, and you did it proud! I'll second Knightley and say the tank full of slime is the best part!

@ Zerg thanks it was intimidating to paint really wanted to get the tank done right. I have a few more things to paint up but may get the surgeon next.

So here is my next project, Epidemius. Picked him up when I bought a box of daemons from a local gamer. He had some broken bitz and he is resin... Epi was already primed so I did not see all the mould lines. Below is a series of pics after about 3 hours of painting. CC is always welcome. Though I am not going back to clean up the lines.

Reminds me of my bachelor days when I had a day off and could sit and veg-out. Paint the maggots on his belly like Cheetos and give him a TV remote and I’d swear someone snapped a shot of me after a night of drinking.

LoL, yeah he does look like he is eating cheetos, should have taken the hour glass out and converted it too look like a can of beer.

The goo definitely completes the Blightspawn's base, really ties it to the model. And Epidemius looks like he's off to a good start. Have fun with him, looks like a nice model for it

Thanks guys, finally finished Epidemius forgive the picture dump it is a elaborate model and wanted to show all sides of it. I thought I would try out some of Nerdys metal techniques on the sword, not as good but I think it turned out ok.

Well done Yorkright. He looks proper Sick. You did a great job with trying Nerdfests metal technique.i think what would sets his apart though is the randomness he gets out of it. Not meant as a criticism as I think your blade looks great, but what catches my eye on your sword are the three bright stripes and they seem to be all in the same direction, I think on your next attempt (don’t redo this one) just be mindful to vary any markings slightly and you’ll have hit it to a T.

Good job on Mr. carry-me-forward-so-I-can-hit-them-with-my-sword... and vomit on them...
