I was wondering what 40k army you are having the most fun painting and modelling with.
As painting being half of the hobby I think its fun to have an army that you enjoy to paint and model.

I voted Elder mainly just because of the Rangers. Tyranids are a close 2nd place for me...I just love how you can go to town with a drybrush and washes and make the models look great in no time at all

I have played many armies, but I have always loved painting the simple gaunt. I paint one up whenever I need a break from what I am currently painting.

I love painting my RavenWing but its not a choice. So i picked my eldar.

Chaos Space Marines are my favorite

Space Wolves closly followed by Grey knigths

Grey Knights, though that is entirely due to the Inquisitorial retinue models, as I haven't painted any actual Grey Knights.

I took break from painting my Orks and started repainting my sons SM and I must say I'm really enjoying it.

I really don't paint much but orks and CSM.... So would not mind trying something else out..

I have fun painting Necrons because you can paint them to a good standard very easily with how simple their schemes can be. Their traditional colors are also very cool too, lots of metallics and eerie greens and blues and reds glowing about.

After them I'd say Tau and Nids are fun to paint because they have lots of flat surfaces and tons of room for creativity, unique ideas and chances to try new techniques and such (like painting bio luminescence, visible brains and organs, and disgusting ooze and ichor and such).

IG and Marines are fun to paint, but the least of the above for me because when I paint them, I have immense respect for the detail on the models and even just a generic trooper takes me hours to bring to a level I'm happy with. Everything needs to be done right and look great or I don't consider the model finished.

Tyranids primarily because they are the main army I have been fielding recently and I love to draw inspiration from various real life insects. They are then closely followed by my just started istavaan III loyalist Luna Wolves.

Nids, since they organic i don't feel like they have to be perfect. They arn't metal with perfectly straight lines, they can be different from each other.

I really like painting any odd older imperium figure I get my hands on, be it an older guard model or and inquisitor or something. It's a nice break from power armor.

Chaos SM....the fact I can make actual individuals

Love painting my vostroyans, its a nice challenge and they just looks real nice when finished

I voted for Space Marines. I just find that whether you want to do a simple paint job or something fancy, they take to it very well.

I voted Tyranids but really its a tie between them and Chaos Space Marines. Makes me a lil sad that I don't have either of them anymore :(
