There is a tournament in a couple says and want to get the final touchups on this list so it can be playtested and such.

HQ
Nemesor Zandrekh

Veiltek

Destroyer Lord
Sempiternal Weave
MSS

TROOPS
5 Warriors
Night Scythe

5 Warriors
Night Scythe

9 Warriors

9 Warriors

ELITES
5 Deathmarks

FAST ATTACK
6 Wraiths
Whip Coil
Particle Caster (Had 5 points left over)

3 Heavy Destroyers

HEAVY SUPPORT
Anni Barge

Anni Barge

Monolith

Zandy is for all his useful utilities like tank hunters on heavy destroyers and such. Dlord goes with wraiths for obvious reasons and serves as a counter charge unit. The warriors in NS drop down t4ish on objectives. NS focus on AA and light tanks, Anni Barges do the same. Monolith serves as a durable brick to punish armies that don't bring any solid heavy AT (which besides guard, I see a lot at my FLGS). The D&D squad drops down and breaks deathstars and headhunt HQ's like any other D&D squad. Heavy Destroyers are my reliable heavy AT besides the wraiths and Dlord and will get most of zandy's attention with tank hunter and night vision if it is night fighting that turn.

Not a bad list, be interested to see how it works for you. I do have a couple of comments.

Heavy D's units are not hard to put down with any decent VoF.. I would look for terrain to park them in and use the range as much as possible. Naked warrior units also are not overly hard to put down, these are likely first blood targets so I would play them defensive till you get the first blood.

Veilteks just never work for me so I am not their friend. I would put them in a NS 10 out of 10 times when I run them. You have to be a fair bit gutsy on your DS placement to get more impact.

In metas where you don't have a lot of AT, the mono is gold. Mine is a dust collector because its a promise you will face a dark lance/bright lance/melta/ordnance or high end CC in my meta. It hurts my soul to watch one get exploded.

I like the list.

I've never played a monolith but given the rest of the list I assume you will either be DS or deploying it forward and centrally? I can see it being useful to provide LOS blocking cover for the HD.

I only recently picked up my HD, but the more I play with them the more I like them. I agree they are fragile, but you probably already know that.

Ya I agree that warriors aren't the most durable brick in the wall but when parked in some decent area terrain like ruins (very common at our club) they can be pretty well protected vs most things besides tau and ignores cover weapons. The monolith will usually be in the center of my deployment to leave the deathmarks an opening if there are no useful areas to veil into. I know that one of the missions at the tournament will favor deep striking (all units arriving from reserves via DS scatter 2D3 instead of 2D6) so I will definitely be taking advantage of that with the d&d squad and the monolith depending on the boards terrain and how crowded my enemy makes the board.

Sounds great, particularly the reduced scatter!
