A deathmark squad can only mark one unit to wound on 2+. Did you mean that you have more choice of units to mark?

Bad wording on my part. I meant that flyers and wraiths don't really fit a "budget" army, cos they are not cheap to buy!
Automatically Appended Next Post: So here is an alternative suggested list to @Inigo, which fits more around my suggestion of using some of the warriors as parts for crypteks etc.
Zandrekh
Royal Court
1 x VeilTek (Harbringer of Despair with Veil of Darkness. Also has Nightmare Shroud)
2 x DestructTek (1 Solar pulse)
1 x StormTek (HoStorm, with Lightning)
1 x Lord (using your spare overlord model from the
AB. Build one of them without the orb hand)
6xDeathmarks (Veiltek here)
12xWarrior
13xWarrior
1xGhost Ark (2 Destructeks plus Lord here acting as Royal Court)
10xTesla Immortals (Z, and Lightning Tek here)
5x Scarabs
5x Scarabs
Anni Barge
Anni Barge
(1499)
So, the idea here is that you have a solid firebase of 25 warriors, a
GA and 2 anni barges. You have 2 x 5 scarabs - these are for counter
CC/tarpitting primarily. 5 bases are quite easy to kill, so try and keep them in cover or out of
LOS (You can hide 5 bases easily behind a ghost ark if it is turned sideways on). You have 6 deathmarks with a veiltek (might as well learn to like deep strike!) and your ace in the hole is Z.
Get familiar with Z's special rule. Being able to take away special rules (hit and run, night vision, furious charge and counter attack) all are useful, but being able to give stealth, furious charge, counter attack, tank hunters is awesome. In particular, I get a LOT of mileage out of furious charge for the scarabs, or counter attack for the tesla immortals. In this list, tankhunters for the Royal court is also useful.
Couple of things:
a) I only used 1
GA in case you wanted the other one as a
DA. If you want to try the
DA, you can just about swap the
DA for the Deathmark unit.
b) For the Lord, it is up to you whether you customise the second Overlord from the
AB kit or just play as. I have 4
AB, so I used some praetorian heads (but you'll be using all of yours for crypteks) and trimmed off a bit of the cloak to make them less overlordy.
c) I haven't used your lych. In order to use lych you'll need to ditch the deathmarks plus a couple of scarab bases. However, keep the veiltek, because Lych are much more effective when they can flit around the board. Sword and Board Lychguard make a great bodyguard and are tough enough to take a turn of shooting when they land.
Couple of general Cron points:
a) Resorbs are only really worth it for troops when you max units out. So 20 warriors, 10 Immortals etc. Almost always worth it for Lychguard and never for Deathmarks (because if they have done their job possibly your opponent will be in such a rage they have no hope of living anyway

).
b) I prefer the 12/13 split for the warriors. You could do 20/5, and put 5 in the
GA. In this case, split the royal court out. However, the Lord will be spare here (because you can only attach 1
RC member to each unit per overlord). I'd recommend you get more scarab bases from ebay and use the spare points for scarabs.
c) The Lord is actually a bit out of place - He's there to protect your
RC when the ark gets blown up but you don't need him. I ran out of options to get up to 1500pts and he fitted.
d) Remember that the crypteks are characters and are also ever living. So, you can accept challenges with them and they get precision shots, Look out Sir etc. For the 2 Destruckteks in the barge, you can snipe out characters from other squads if you are lucky. However, the main giggles come from everliving. In the immortal squad, if all the immortals die, but the cryptek is still there, the cryptek is now scoring! He also denies
VP in Purge games.
