I finally managed to trick my friends into starting Blood Bowl, but I don't want to buy the box. I have zero interest in Humans/Orcs, and neither does anyone else in my group.

Money is tight, so I'm just going to convert my team from my Dark Eldar.

I'm going to buy some dice and a field, is there anything else that I would need to purchase?

Also, does anyone know of US sites selling BB fields/dice? So far, all I've found is European stores.

If money is real tight you can make your own board simply. Just need a small sheet of plywood, or mdf, and draw out the grid. Later you can add flock, body parts, and build dug outs. That will save you $$$ for teams, paint and beverages.

A couple of guys in my local group made the board and templates from scratch. When compared to my box set they were almost spot on, not sure where they got the dimensions from though. There's also websites offering print and play bloodbowl pitches.
