Who is your army general? Abaddon? Sorry, but he's failed at every black crusade. Not much going for him.

Or is it Marneus Calagr? Marbo? A ratling?

Well, I'm obviously a Salamanders person myself, but rather than choosing Vulkan He'Stan, I simply keep him at the side. No, my general is CHAPTER MASTER TU'SHAN!

Artificer Armour, Master Crafted Thunder Hammer (Stormbearer, Master Crafted thanks to Chapter Tactics from He'Stan), a Combi-Flamer (named Prometheus, and some other stuff.

I'm currently trying to sculpt a mantle made of drakescale from Green Stuff, but it's not going well...

Not well at all...

Well, it has the objective of destroying the Imperium of Man, right?

So... He has failed...

Right?

For me, Abbadon the Armless is the biggest amount of Fail I have ever seen in 40k. 13 Crusades, 13 FREAKIN' CRUSADES and he still needs more.

On topic: I like the generic Overlord for my Necrons, but I'm hoping to kitbash a female one named Kleo'ptra

He's only a failure in, well, the "frequently espoused by younger player" terms of believing he wants to take Terra, and all anyone like him could be interested in was "Just killing the Emperor". Bit of a shallow overlook, that.

The crusades were about breaking the dam (Cadia, what with it being the most stable way in and out), not to wreck the emperor, but to change the very dynamics of Chaos and the Imperium. The dam has broken and his goals were more or less achieved.

On topic, my most frequent general is an iron warriored Huron, ocasional replaced by a jump packing ass kicking slaanesh raptor lord

To be fair, it hasn't broken the dam, it's more or less jammed up against the dam in a stalemate.

Abaddon the Despoiler intends to overload the Pylon network on Cadia itself to allow the Eye of Terror to envelop the worlds of the Imperium, allowing the Warp Storm to encompass the entirety of the galaxy

This is what he wants

True, they have gotten ever closer to their objective, but then again with the 13th Black Crusade, while the armies of Chaos have grown ever larger and gotten ever closer, the Imperial response is getting larger. And the Imperium has a lot more to offer. Oh dear, a lot more.

But then again it doesn't really have a lot more SPARE.

We could go on about this forever, really.

My general is the Krumptakular Bikerboss Nignog Boomwheel. But what would a biker gang be without their Mek? So Big Mek Spitz'N'Sparkinz is always nearby.

I use a mid-range combat Tau commander (2x plasma rifle, stimulant injector, shield generator)

I was considering using farsight himself for a while, but I prefer custom builds in the end.

My Canoness, of course. Has a combi plasma and a chainsword. Still working on ways to make her look more unique though.

Me too. There's a lot of appeal in making your own unique leader rather than a pre-established one.

Your standard Farseer, no bike, I'm not really into jetbikes that much, I only use them on turn five or whatever. The farseer just goes with a Dire Avenger squad and casts the powers he has. Give him the spirit stone of Anath'lan and Runes of Witnessing and that's good enough for me.

Gotta agree with Tyranid Horde on this one

I never leave home without my generic Farseer. The powers are just so useful and he can cast all game as long as you give the opponent higher priority targets (at least in their mind)

If you give him a couple warlock bodyguards and happen to roll Destructor with both, then they can hold objectives and pitch in with crowd control. LOVE 'EM

Abaddon is my general. As various threads have pointed out only 2 characters can reliably take him on, and neither are Imperial.

Most always a Farseer, though I have been running an Autarch of late. When I played my Wolves more, it was Wolf Lord on a Thunderwolf.

I, of course, use Marneus Calgar.
I would love to have a Uriel Ventris model for my main army commander, but sadly, one doesn't exist.
