Why the hell do I have to use Coteaz if I want henchmen troops? That should be a trait of all the inquisitors. So many people love and use Coteaz regardless, why should I *have* to use him to unlock henchmen if I don't want a cheap mlv2 HQ that doesn't synergize with my army!?

Since he can't be considered a real tax due to how point efficient he is, I think that taking any inquisitor should make henchmen bands into troops.

Why the hell not?

What exactly does coteaz NOT synergize with?

He is up there with the best HQs in the game.

More reliable first turn, easy source of prescience, well armed and armored, all for a dirt cheap price

Hey! First a rant thread then a Proposed Rule?

Coteaz unlocks henchman as troops. Other inquisitors don't. It's simple. If you don't like him or his fluff, then change your army. Henchmen aren't that indestructable as troops.

Sorry, but 'why the hell not' doesn't exactly win me over. This is Inquisitorial Henchmen, not Army.

Like I said in your other thread about this (why do you need two?), go read the fluff. Inquisitorial warbands are not common place amongst armies in the 40k universe, Coteaz gets more because of his network of spies throughout the various worlds. Furthermore, because of their radical nature many are unwilling to work with Inquisitors.

So overall, no, it would make no sense for all Inquisitors to get Troop Henchmen.

Well TBF it is odd that an Ordo Xenos or Ordo Hereticus inquisitor has to bring Grey Knights.

Actually it's not. By the way they work they route out the threat and try to deal with it, and when there's a problem they call in Grey Knights to finish it up. Inquisitors have never had armies of Henchmen in the fluff ever IIRC.

Just 'counts as' coteaz for whatever fluffy inquisitor you want.

Jeez man, did Coteaz kill your parents or something? Turning you into a caped crusader who seeks to forever rid his beloved game of the evils of Coteaz?

They call in the Grey Knights when it is a threat that the Grey Knights are meant to deal with, you know, daemons. Besides inquisitorial storm troopers are a thing.
