Hey gang, just been working on more Kicks, including an Attack Bike with an Ork hanger-on, Scouts, and their Captain (for now) Angus Bolt. Fluff below, or skip to the images. The newest stuff is on top with older images after that.

Hey all, this is a new made up chapter I came up with. A chapter whose theme is a combination of punk rock, biker gang, and space pirate. Needless to say, i do not take myself or these fellas too seriously. What follows is some fluff, or skip to the pics.

The Skull Kicks began as a second founding chapter from the world Gol, and were originally known as the Screaming Skulls. Known for being wild and impulsive they frequently traveled away from their home world to conduct raids and seek battle. They came into regular conflict with Ork Free Booterz and Dark Eldar pirates. Over time they have adapted some of these races aspects in their own appearance. At some point their world was wrapped in warp storms lasting hundreds of years. Those of the chapter who were out raiding were left without a home world and lived from their heavily armored ships. Once the storms abated a return to Gol found the entire world stripped of life and only countless skulls were scattered across the ruins of the once highly populated hive planet. Their rage and dismay led the chapter to take to their ships and roam the galaxy looking only to pillage, battle, and drink heavily. They have departed from traditional norms and the Codex Astartes, but have in no way embraced Chaos. Nevertheless, the inquisition is highly suspicious of the chapter. There are two theories on how the name Skull Kicks came to be applied to the chapter, though the legionaries themselves have never confirmed how the name came to replace Screaming Skulls. One theory relates to the discovery of their home world being left with nothing but skulls for a landscape, and the subsequent kicking that occurred when they made planet fall. The other stems from the Ork description of the Skull Kicks, whom they call the "Skull Krumpas." Skull Kicks enjoy battling Orks most of all and keep their armor and teeth as trophies to adorn their own armor. Additionally, the Skull Kicks take the heads of Dark Eldar, which they flense and chain to their armor and effects. The Skull Kicks primarily replace their fallen by visiting hive cities and recruiting from amongst the ganger populations they find. The Skull Kicks do their own skull icons, so they vary from Kick to Kick.Attack Bike with Ork Victim

I love the purple armour and all the crazy colours! Any vehicles for this one? Perhaps a tourbus Land Raider?

Man do I love that Ork Skull! I might have to borrow that for my orks!

"Orkses never lost a battle. If we win we win, if we die we die fighting so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die neither, cos we can come back for annuver go, see!"

I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.

Freaking awesome! Very good punk-scifi look. Very Necromunda/Shadowrun-y. Really good work. The vibrant colors for the facial hair really stick out to my eye (in a good way) and the freehanding is nothing short of amazing here! You've done a really good job with the toxic color scheme, which could have gone south very easily. Really, one of the best armies I've seen in a long, long time.

At first I was like "Ew... horrible colors.", and then as I read your description, and took a closer look at the models as an overall army, I fell in love with them.

Great stuff man!

These are awesome! I love the purple and the dude with pink hair just got me.

I love all the freehand and the ork. The green really pops and each one is unique which seems to go well with this group. I hope you make more of these guys. I would love to go against and army like this.

Great fluff ideia, great concept and greatly done. Im inspired...

I loved the armor colors, the freehand, the ideia of "each one do their own iconography, so i can play and test and do as i please with everyone of them", and the facial hair colors...

This will be a gigantic army...

Awesome. I really like this. Purple and green is an underused and underappreciated scheme. I like how you added the blue, as well, it sets everything off nicely. Bold ideas very well executed.

Thanks for all the kind words all. To answer a couple of questions, yes they are Space Wolf heads. I was not familiar with the Skullkickers, but I certainly googled the name Skull Kicks to make sure some cool 10 year old hadn't already made a Space Marine army with a name like that.

I am starting some SM bikes now, a logical next stop for these guys.

Also, Dwarf Wolf - spot on with my motive for the individualized iconography. Cheers.

Pretty cool, good work.

I'm not a huge fan of the "ride the lightning" on the chainsword, but aside from that it's good work.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

It's a little "tongue in cheek," but it certainly portrays an image of where he's gonna shove that thing.

I think they work just fine in the Space Marine milieu. I enjoy when heraldric military traditions other than standard European ones are blended with the power armored soldier motif to create something unique, and urban street gangs are certainly an interesting and unique approach to that. I'd be flattered to play on the same table as these beauties.

Awesome Bikers! The purple and green still provides a nice contrasting and eye-popping color scheme without making it look jarring. The blind-eye sarge is my fav, but they all look good! Excited to see what they use to kick in skulls next!
