The Geller Field is the technological innovation that made warp travel possible, along with the entirety of human infestation of the galaxy. Who was Geller? I haven't been able to find anything about the scientist that the anti-warp containment force fields are named after.

Have you searched Lexicanum? I don't know if they have any information on Geller, but that is probably your best bet.

Uri Geller.

Turning his talents from bending Spoons and preventing the Russians from launching their nucleur arsenal, Uri Gellar strapped himself to a rocket and launched himself into space, using his amazing psychic talents forming a Geller Field around the ship. Not only is Uri Geller responsible for the first Geller field he is also responsible for the first warp rift in our Solar System, opening one with his mind.

Uri Geller was one of the first pyskers to sacrifice himself so the emperor could be born. Its where the emperor gets his positivity from, as well as bending metal.

"Machine, heal thy self" is a reference to the metal molding power Uri granted the Emperor.

Lexicanum has nothing on its creation except the date. So I'm forced to assume that it's actually a warp-repelling sound loop of Ross Geller forever exclaiming the words "MYYYY SANDWICH?!"

I'm pretty sure its a tongue in cheek reference to Uri Geller as well

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!
