Chaos is finicky at the 1,000 point range of games.

Got a tourney coming up this weekend and I am working on a 1,000 point army list for my Nurgle Themed CSM army. Here's where I am struggling:

Plague Marines. Not sure I can list specific point costs on the forums here so I'll just say they are approximately 75% more expensive in a 5 man squad than regular CSM. Not that the exact points matter significantly but the point is, they are tough on points. I am having a hard time justifying the cost of having them in my list at all. It strikes me as vastly more efficient to just buy CSM and give them all MoN to save on points.

Oh, I should also specify that one of the rules for the tourney is that Named Characters are disallowed.

Here are the units I absolutely want to take in my list:

Chaos Lord in Termi wargear with a pair of lightening claws (anyone else notice that the pair of claws costs more in this edition than the last one?) and MoN
Daemon Prince with Power Armor and MoN
Defiler with Havoc Launcher and Warpflame Gargoyles

Here are the units I have not yet decided on due mostly to points

2 squads of 5 Plague Marines (I have them magnetized to allow for up to 2 plasma guns per squads of 5)
5 Terminators with MoN
Hellbrute
Helldrake
10 Cultists (not fond of, basically just giving away VP unless used in unique cases)

Thoughts?

May also be of note that in my area the Tau are BY FAR the most commonly played army and I will most likely be fighting against them for the bulk of the tourney (second most common is probably a tie for SM/Necrons)

Why take 2 lightning claws on your lord when you could take LC and PF, still get +1 attack and be able to threaten 2+ saves, vehicles and MCs? (or is that the only model you have)

Daemon Prices get DoN not MoN, which is a very different animal. Most people are not fans of the new DP rules, especially if they dont have wings

The 10 cultists are there to score. 5/6 of mission have objectives(harldy unique). 1/6 use VPs for killing units. If you are in one of those kill point missions, keep the cultists in reserve as long as possible and then walk them into cover behind your lines.

What are your terminators going to be doing? Walking with your CL? They seem kind of out of place, without a point.
