Here is my latest for one of my armies.
I'm working on the NMM Gold and this was a great model to try. Any help with that is appreciated. I went for a dark and dirty type gold.

then Dheneb stone drybrush with light grey and white highlights.

Obviously, I think this model is amazing, it just...POPS at you.

I was reading your post and looking at the model. I thought it looked like a coat of wash over gold, and I felt confused why you said "Working on NMM gold". I then realised that that was NMM and not wash and holy gak, man. Good job.

Always wanted to learn how to do NMM and I've never cracked it.

Only thing I'd say to differently is the base rim. Green clashes with the brown of the actual base too much IMO. The model is fantastic tho

Great paintjob, beautifully shot. As others have said, the NMM is a winner.

I love it, the gold is very well done. I love the green on the tendrils as it really bigtens up the model in a discrete way.

Top tier paint job, very nice.

Great Job! I'm totally gonna try that skin color scheme on some models I've been trying to get a pallid look for!

As with some of the others, I would prefer with black or brown base rim, but that's such a minor nitpick.

All in all, absolutely fantastic. I especially love the armor - both the amazing metal work, and the black, which actually looks scorched black matching BL fluff, rather than merely painted black.

Dude, this is amazing. It's 100% eye candy.

If that was what it did then fair enough, but in this case i doesn't, it just clashes and stands out jarringly, while everything else is picture perfect. Just because they are both greens doesn't mean they will compliment each other perfectly; the green on the actual model is bright and powerful while the green on the base is lifeless and dull. Black base rim will really make the gold and the skin pop more as well.

But YMMV.

I still don't know what the deal is what the maulerfiend head. They cut a whole in its teeth for a mechanical tongue. Does it mean it can't open its mouth? Then why have teeth, or have the head stick so far out? It's just so lazy.

Nice paint job, though. It looks gnarly.

Thanks everyone for the support on the NMM. Been working on Bronze and steel now.
As for the green base, its just my preference. My game boards at home I plan to paint will be green and Im wanting it to match. Plus ALL my models have the green trim.
Its old school but i'm old school too. lol.

Great feedback everyone...keep it coming. If anyone has their favorite recipe for NMM gold or bronze or steel, happy to trade.

As far as the Black, im disappointed the photos didnt reflect the multiple tones i really put in it. There are 6 shades that went into it. :(
